I thought that Windy was the pick of the two. Thought he had more star potential because Chito had iffy disposal. We finally had a bit of luck fall our way landing both.

Think Robbo is fair myself. Exactly what I said straight after the game last night. Hilly's last month has been enormous but in a 2 goal goal game against 2nd at their ground where they haven't lost all year your standards are examined intensely. He had two sloppy turnovers in a close loss that cost goals. He has to be better.
Crouch early didn't give on the first option and was a turn over that flew the other way. He needs to be better.
If we want to be in the top 4 then all of our players need (sorry, need to want) to be living in that kitchen because that is the heat. It's unfair but it's what turns good to great.
Of all the players I'd take in the league for our current group, I'd take the bloke we're playing next week. He's a bloody ripper Toby.

The guy had been smashed by the media post season. Lethers, too. I'll never forget Purple sticking the boot in, some of his pearlers during that time:

People get caught up in winning the trade period and forget that the reason you want picks is so that you pick up players with the kind of potential that Owens has. Putting yourself into perpetual rebuild isn't a model a club should be following.

Almost like we were building experience and trying a couple of things before finals and backing our defensive system to keep us in the game... funny how we should have been a goal down with a minute to go despite being apparently terrible all night?
Almost like our coaching and structure stood up despite an 18 yr old and a 20 yr old being at centre bounce late in the last quarter? Against the equal flag favourite at full strength who haven't lost at home all year and have played 2 prelims in the last 3 years?
Interesting when you switch the narrative.
Also Hilly stood up magnificently over the last month when the season was on the line. In our best 4-5 players over the last 4-5 weeks. No idea why he gets singled out.
As RTB would say, time for us to write our own story.
