Has been reported that Free has already re-signed, that Shiels will get another year and Dawson likely to get a contract too and now Drury. I suspect that's about it for re-signings with Goldy the only unknown at this stage.

So if Free, Shiels, Drury are locked in with HansenJr then that means Dawson needs to be elevated or delisted? If we move Logue onto the LTI - then Im not too sure. giantroo anything extra you can add?

I believe Shiels is on our main list as he took the list spot from Brayden George? Might be wrong though.

We still have options. We can still run with a primary/rookie list of 36-6, 37-5 or 38-4. Then you can add a Gus LTI for the SSP and maybe a Shiels mid year retirement for the midseason draft.

He shows little bits and pieces but to me projects as a Mahony type who will be too small and have too few weapons to quite click at AFL level.

I was thinking along similar lines - Drury obviously has good footy IQ, but it's not clear to me what his role will be. He's not an electric small forward, the role of '180 midfield acccumulator' is well covered with Phillips and Lazzaro, and if he played lockdown defender any small forward with aerial ability would be a threat. That just leaves HFF-transition, which is how he's been played in the VFL, but again we've got good (and physically stronger) options, Ford, Stephenson, even Curtis Taylor.

Still, good luck to him, hope he proves us both wrong

He got talked up a bit when we first picked, so they must see something. Whatever it might be.

I was expecting a much "busier" player. He's more Mahony than Patch to my eyes.

Good luck to him thoughm nothing personal just can't see the case for contract renewal.

Yeah I was expecting a zippier player like Liam baker from the tigers - a connector across the field.
Hopefully he was building up to something better next season.

Kid captained Caulfield last year so will get a full season next year under Clarko to show what he can do.
Wouldn’t be surprised to see him hang around on the VFL team if he doesn’t make the grade.
