Asking for a friend robbieando, did you wipe out all of Hawthorn's picks when you forced Hawthorn to match your Will McCabe (f/s) pick?
Yes :(

Nah, Honestly its a good play. For someone who bangs on about bidding higher on academy picks in response to victorians complaining about "Academy freebies" I can respect it.

If I had my time again I'd probably decline at 7 and set a hard limit on where I'd start auto-match (9-10 hard ceiling tbh) but thats fine. It means I can kick back and relax before my 3rd pick

Apologies for the hold up.

Unlike my last couple of picks, which were easy, this one is harder. However, feeling as confident as I do about our first two picks, I feel like I can roll the dice this time around and take a punt on Ashton Moir. Exquisitely talented but has been a big slider for reasons that I have not been able to get to the bottom of (apart from injury and a drop off in his form). It's a bit suspicious but his skills are so good it's worth taking a risk this far back in the draft. We will back our development team and the support our club can offer to help Ashton get the best out of himself. And if Ashton can do that, we know we have gotten ourselves a total steal. Ashton, come on down. Welcome to the club.

And by the way, EFC, since I don't expect you to do this well in the actual draft I think that after I have done such a superlative job standing in for Dodo, you should consider me for your newly vacated head of list management role.

Already taken (Pick 26 - St Kilda)

After further consideration, with pick 36 we'll take Logan Morris. We have some promising young tall forwards and quality more established talent but we would like to add to our depth with goal kicking and we feel Logan has a lot to offer. Logan is a strong mark and a reliable goal kicker. We recognise he may take a little while to develop to play at AFL level and we are happy to give him that opportunity to learn and grow surrounded by the quality players we already have.

Please disregard my comments about any vacant positions. With the egg on my face I realise now is not the time to press my claims, such as they are.

Increasingly drunken renditions of Never Tear Us Apart.

May soon descend into an ugly brawl between the Sack Hinkley vs Extend Hinkley factions.
There is no longer an Extend/Keep Hinkley faction in the Port draft room.

I caught Kochie trying to jump in through a window, and warned him the next thing he'd be jumping into is an ambulance. He wandered off muttering something about having been there, done that.

Yes, you're obviously far too self aware to to be a viable Dodoro replacement

Good pick, reckon LP1 won't be happy you took him

Having taken the best small forward in the draft, a guy who has been called the best since Izak Rankine, with our first pick, we're now looking to add some defensive flair to our back half. Fantastic at intercepting and a huge improver this year, Tew Jiath is our guy! He has still got a bit to work on but his talent is there for all to see and we have every confidence he will develop into a fine AFL player, like his brother Changkuoth. It also adds a large dollop of deliciousness that we grab him away from the Hawks NGA Academy. It's also easier to say Tew than Changkuoth.

Thank you very much. Now gotta finalise our thinking about who we will take with our 3rd pick. sr20 you're up!
Dammit, was hoping he would slip through past 40 so I didn't have to look up the 90th best player in this draft now all my picks are pushed back from the McCabe bid

Na he’s all theirs wasn’t even on my list give us 5 mins to take the bolter or not

Let me know the type you're looking for and if it doesn't overlap with a type I want with my picks in the 100s (likely the very next picks, maybe Cats and Giants in between), I can probably throw you a few suggestions (when we get close, because I may be desperate by then).

Okay WCE take the bolter who I just want and he’s one of my favourites in this draft but it sort of makes sense whilst WCE have small forwards they aren’t that good

With pick 37 WCE take the annoying small forward-midfielder Lachlan Charlson

Manic small forward who I just can’t see getting through to my next one

OK the original picks were 4,44,47,49 so I'm assuming you have lost 4,44,47 for the F/S match?

Hawks had already used their 1st pick. So assume the 3 x 40s picks were obliterated and they've got up to 2 picks in Rounds 5 and 6 to use where there's zero points value (2 picks from 4 used already).

Intriguing choice. There are so many small forwards in this draft, and he is one of the less heralded. I'll be curious if he gets drafted.
Why Charleson ahead of Callinan/Delean/Gothard/Johnston/Sanchez (disregard all those ones that are already off the board - I can't seem to keep track), especially Sanchez the WA product?
