I know he could make a difference up forward, but do you think he has the right traits to replace ZW at hbf? Clean, good decision maker, pacey and good skills. Would also be able to get him involved in the game a bit more. Only worry is would he be adequate defensively?

Has all the attributes, just don't think he reads the play well enough. No issues one on one. Looked free in his movement today

Plenty of guys who don't nail a forward spot can end up good half backs. Perhaps this is where Cuningham or Honey may find a spot. Both have the desirable pace, run and carry, as long as they can defend and find the footy which can be taught to an extent. Cuningham being a good field kick adds to his credentials for this role.

Biggest improver from the previous training session, Paddy Dow, write up later

That's good to hear given disposal has been one of his knocks. Doesnt look a technically bad kick. Maybe it's more a decision making thing at times.

Actually, think his technique is really sound. Holds the ball completely vertical rather than the point of the ball aiming at chest level

Hollands will be a STAR

Love what I’m seeing, getting more comfortable every session

So far, would be well in contention for a spot in the 22 round 1, although really small frame

Said last week it wouldn’t surprise me if he plays round 1. He is extremely comfortable with the ball in hand and has zero problem finding it. Makes the right decisions.

He will burn the odd kick at AFL level but you can accept that for the work rate he brings. Exciting times.

He WILL play round 1.

He’s ready.

I think top 6 if healthy for sure this year. All sessions have been very good this year

Plus he ticks Voss box in having a big engine. Voss wanted to add run to our team and several of our besr runners are already out of round 1.

Could he play half back?????

Has the pace not sure if he has the skill required to hit players up.

No, not at this stage he’s not strong enough atm, he’s going to be a very good player in the next 2/3 years when he adds some required muscle/strength, he’s kicking while accurate also lacks a bit of penetration atm. has great balance and has the ability to sidestep and get around and through players…
A running machine…

First and only time I’ve watched the lads train this preseason, a lot to like about the session, they look in terrific shape physically and aerobically, next weeks scratch match will maybe give us some indication of a few things planned/work on over the summer…
