Is the tram on Plenty Rd? There's access from Plenty Rd I believe so not too far away.

They charge for entry of course. Womens A-Leauge is a professional competition. Family ticket is $45 (2 adults 2 kids) which is pretty cheap. Pretty good hospitality facilities too.

Adult ticket on its own is 20 bucks. Up from $12 last season I believe.

Parking was easy, just over the other side of the playing fields. 5 minute walk.

Thanks for the info.. I had previously googled it, but it's hard to tell how accessible it is from Plenty Road with the cemetery there. That's great if you're saying the access is good though.

Don't have an issue with paying, I just had no idea whether we were at that level when we're hosting games at Bundoora.

We're not back there for another month, but it's a Friday night game, so assuming it's not 100 degrees I could see myself going to that.

I asume there's access as I seen plenty of spectators walking towards Plenty Rd post game.

Jeesus they must've been hard-pressed for a venue to wind up in Kogarah. Square in the middle of nowhere from an A-Leagues perspective, no wonder the tickets are free.

It almost might've been easier to move it to Bundoora had they not had the state govt contracts in place.

Breakthrough game for 18yo Sienna Saveska scoring a hattrick inside the first 27 minutes to give bottom side WSW their first win of the season against Western United. Hattrick goal is a cracker with a little bit out outside curl.

Only seen a few glimpses of Talia Younis who laid off the ball but she looks like she'll be a good player too. Younis was in the news last season for being the youngest ever A-League female debutant at 14, surpassing previous youngest debutant Sam Kerr - the record youngest since broken by another WSW player Ischia Brooking.

The Brisbane vs Central Coast game has been abandoned due to pitch conditions affected by the heavy rain today (70mm) in Brisbane.

Perhaps some positive news from a Matildas perspective, although it's wait and see how she'll go. is Holly McNamara returning from her 3rd ACL injury being named in the squad to play her first game in 13 months for Melbourne City at home to Canberra United on Sunday.

Geez, Newcastle's import GK has been red carded for the 2nd time in 5 matches this season. Honestly got to wonder what her value is when her replacement seems just as competent and doesn't have the brain farts (she had a shocker last match too), although the newbie has just contributed to the first Sydney goal with a rushed clearance straight to the goal scorer. Big chance for Sydney to pick up a much needed win vs 10.

Gritty late fightback win by Newcastle playing with 10 since the 10min mark of the 1st half. Two goals, one just before the 90 and another just before the end of extra time saw them beat Sydney away 1-2. Sydney stay near the bottom on 4pts with WSW and Perth. Perth play tomorrow.

Brisbane vs Central Coast was rescheduled and played on Sunday. Brisbane winning 2-1 put them in 2nd place after Rd 6.

Melbourne City now the only unbeaten team after winning 4-2 at home to Canberra. Perth had a home win against Adelaide today to put them 3 pts clear of the bottom 2 teams.

Absolute howler of a goal keeping mistake by 44yo Barbieri in the first game of this round. Got a slow back pass under no pressure and she went to put her left foot on it but she wasn't looking at the ball and it just rolled 10m further past her into the goal. It was going so slow she even had time to turn and chase it. Don't know why she started in goal. Melb City's regular GK this season is on the bench. Maybe just a rotation policy.

Comfortable 1-3 away win from Melb City despite that horrible mistake by their no2 GK. Adelaide really created their best chances in injury time via Fiona Worts.

After providing an assist last week with a rebound shot off the post Holly McNamara in her 2nd game back from her most recent ACL injury still looks fleet of foot and scored a few minutes after coming on as a sub in the 2nd half, this time with the ball going in off the inside of the post.

Melbourne City squad looks to have more depth than the other sides who are losing players as the season progresses.

Next game of this Friday double header between two of the bottom 3 sides. WSW vs Perth should produce some attacking play with WSW scoring 5 goals and Perth 3 goals in their wins last week.

1-1 in the end between WSW & Perth. Glory must have had about 10 serious chances to score, including chances where they were too slow to get the shot off in the box before being tackled. They've recruited a couple of NPL players who have stepped up to the A League this season but don't hit the ball first time and get caught looking to take that extra touch to settle before they shoot and then they get dispossessed in a tackle. Perth also had a few other 1 vs 1's against the keeper Sham Khamis and couldn't get the ball past her. A WSW player did miss one sitter header in the first half but generally the Perth keeper Casey Dumont had any attacking play into the box under control and except for one moment really wasn't trouble in the 2nd half.

Late in extra time Perth earnt a penalty which probably should have seen Khamis red carded, and having previously gone behind just before the 90m from a good set piece strike from the edge of the penalty box by WSW captain Amy Harrison, the Perth penalty taker Kelli Brown, who had already blown a few golden opportunities just got the placement of her kick high enough so that the fingertips of Khamis could only push the ball up under the post. Almost another screw up.

Unfortunately, the WSW hattrick scorer from last week Sienna Saveska couldn't back it up this week. Of the youngsters, recent Young Matilda midfielder Georgia Cassidy from the Glory stood out, sending a couple of long balls that put the strikers in clear goal scoring positions. Naomi Chinnama was again solid in defence and a bit unlucky to give away and get yellow-carded for the foul that led to the WSW goal.

Not a high standard game.

Sharn Freier's twin sister Laini scored her first A-League goal and then followed it with two more to get a hattrick in Brisbane's 6-1 win over Newcastle. 2 of the goals were assists with Sharn passing it to Laini.
