Paps is more a pantomime villain. He never strikes anybody or does anything deceivingly dirty to other players. He tries to just live rent free inside of people's heads. He is very different to say a Toby green who is just sometimes a dirty rat to his opposition. Paps is more dangerous as he thrives on bringing other people's uncontrolled emotions out and put them slightly off their game.

I agree. Not so much pathetic as why bother? Achieves nothing. His presser was very good, honest and gracious in defeat.

The crowd booed Hinkley because he was the opposition, nothing to do with anything else. They cheered Horse when he came on screen because he was the Sydney coach; they booed Aliir because he was a former swans player...

They were just having a bit of fun... it wasn't personal, and it wasn't related to Ginivan. They also booed every time Port had a set shot... You can't ask a crowd to be involved, loud and passionate, and then expect it to behave the way you want. They get involved, rev each other up, and then get carried away...

Perhaps not the best look, but not done with malice I wouldn't have thought!

Seen my post from 12 years ago today popup on my FB when I attended the PF vs. Pies. Anyone notice something interesting about the caption? Media surely have come a long way now. Funniest part is I never noticed this back then.
