Breaking news: Toby Greene fined $20,000 for dancing like Raygun.

What a overreaction
It is a necessary reaction.

There is a domestic violence and sexual assault crisis in Australia and men are overwhelmingly responsible for it. But they don't start off by abusing women. They start off by "joking" about the abuse of women with mates and having their casual disrespect of women validated by said mates.

It's better to act over something seemingly minor than to rue inaction if something bigger happens.

Taking this back to the bartender, if they were a rape victim, or were close to a rape victim and had to support them through the trauma or something similar, then sure, I can understand them being affected by it. And if that were the case I'd expect the club and and players would want to apologise to them.

But if it's just someone who was outraged because what they did was in poor taste then they seriously need to get a life. This faux-outrage on behalf of someone else is pathetic.

There are kids starving to death in this world. There are women, children and innocent civilians dying in wars on a daily basis and we want to get outraged because some people made a poor choice in poking fun at a situation that unfortunately resulted in real people being hurt.

Yes, mocking a rape which was apparently quite violent and left the victim bleeding is worth six games.
All charges to the alledged rape were dropped, hence the man walking free from jail.

The charges weren't dropped. His appeal was successful because the appeals court found the judge in his first trial did not properly direct the jury on a piece of evidence.

In the first trial the jury found there was enough evidence to believe a rape had taken place, including a rape kit and calls from Hayne.

Even leaving that aside, the fact that a rape case even got taken to court is an incredibly high bar to have gotten.

Cope. The dude got convicted on multiple pieces of evidence and got off on a technicality because the judge didn't provide correct direction on how to consider one of those pieces.
“Judge Craig Everson was told that the DPP had dropped two counts of sexual intercourse without consent.

Judge Everson told the court that all proceedings against Mr Hayne had been discontinued.”

So we have a 2 week period and this is the end result. Wow.

I guess thw AFL just hold off on submitting post on the website to keep everyone glued till the very end. What a joke.

The trading period is so boring now since the nominated rule has come in thanks to Chris Judd.

No surprising moves happen anymore

Every player ends up getting their wish

It leaves the original club with no room to manage a trade being so restricted at times

I’m disillusioned with the AFL as a sport at the moment

The Jake Stringer deal looked dead in the water... Matt Rosa explains how the deal was revived.

Giants realised they have significant cultural issues at the club so wanted to bring in a senior player from a well-run and successful club to help drive cultural standards at GWS.

Bring in a player with questionable behaviour himself? I’m sure that’ll fix things
