So if i dress as Hitler for a Halloween costume am i mocking the deaths of millions of jews?

You would have to be pretty ****en stupid, especially if you are in the public eye, you know what would happen.

And since when Essendon are successful and well run?
I was alluding to the type of player you'd generally bring in when you're attempting to drive culture at a club, the Hodges, Mitchells, Parkers etc. As I was going through the list of things you'd want in a player, he basically left all the boxes unchecked.

I left out professional, training standards and leadership qualities.

In fairness to the players, they come from all walks of life, it's not like they all had perfect upbringings and were taught proper ettiquite and how to behave in the public eye etc. It's not like they were brought up in a royal family. Someone like Prince Harry for example...

So we have a 2 week period and this is the end result. Wow.

I guess thw AFL just hold off on submitting post on the website to keep everyone glued till the very end. What a joke.

Trade period is simply a marketing tool the AFL love. As a process, could be done in 3 days.

People need to remember: it wasn't a private function, it was a work function. If it was everyone over at one player's house and they were acting like idiots then so be it but they were doing it at work. The AFL at the end of the day is a workplace and when at a work function are bound by work protocols.

I go over to a mate's house, have a few drinks and make some inappropriate comments then I am an arseh*le
I go to my work Christmas party, have a few drinks and make some inappropriate comments then I am an unemployed arseh*le

Who the ** cares, bedders? Trade Week is dumb as ** but if you enjoy it more power to you.
Correct , things i don't like for example is Aussie soccer so i don't take any interest , or let it get to me ,but i like the EPL .
Trade week is what it is , you either take interest or not . So many unrealistic thoughts by many on BF.

A "private" event in a hotel/casino is still accessible by staff and members of the public (temporarily until someone asks wtf they are doing), unless they had security checking IDs. So it is effectively public.

It's not the same as if it were in someone's house.

Also, it really depends on what was said/done, but this was clearly a work related function, having been attended by staff (reported on), possibly partners and people who work together. So again, not the same as a few of the players just hanging out at home or a player hanging out with non work friends.
I don't think you understand what private means in the context of events. This was NOT accessible to the public. Stop trying to say the public could be there. If we governed this world with what COULD happen nothing would or should be allowed.

The skit in question was done AFTER staff left the venue. It was players only in the room. That has been widely reported so please don't misrepresent there could have been anyone other than players there, because there weren't. It was 1 bartender that wants his/her 15 minutes of fame, nothing more, nothing less. Do I think anything of the skit in question? No, I don't care for it and it's not something I would do. This continuous attempts at trying to "get" people is tiring. Save it for the actual things people should be pulled up on.

Again, no one can answer why players are getting fined and/or suspended for something that 1 person (allegedly) found offensive, but players can pass out at a public venue and be carried out due to coke and alcohol and then transported to the emergency room and not 1 thing is done. Yet Toby Greene (take the hatred for him out) is fined $20k for literally doing nothing. Make it make sense.
