I don't disagree with this, but I think all Australians have to take accountability for this, instead of every individual just assuming they are correct and it's the world around them that's gone mad.
For example your post's sentiments are often used as right-wing talking points (not saying this includes you DQ), always lamenting "woke" society, cancel culture, snowflakes etc etc. Yet the right-wing is often offended by quite literally anything that does not align with their white, heteronormative, Anglo-centric view of the world.
So 45 year old goatee-wearing Troy from the Facebook comments section might comment "the world's gone soft, can't have fun anymore", but will he apply the same easy-going, open-minded nature to, say, an all-female reboot of his favourite movie, or a Pride parade, or a Welcome to Country ceremony? Methinks not.
On the contrary i have several mates who find welcome to country incredibly offensive and just roll their eyes.
