Yay! Actual heat! Lando to “lose a lot of respect” for Max if Max claims he didn’t nothing wrong.

FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT (at Silverstone please)
A mistake free race for himself according to Norris - obviously forgot that he was Warner for exceeding track limits. Maybe he should ask himself if he picked the wrong corner to pass on and exacerbated the cause of the accident

Lando wasn't trying to pass there though. Just to try double back on him and get him on the next.
Max probably knew he had him this time which is why he ran deep and ran him wide to block him doubling back.

Seems like little Landon is an impatient petulant child/spoilt little brat and can’t hack it when he causes himself to fail - proved it in his press conference. The real max, the max of old was on show during the crash - as soon as he is under pressure he can’t handle it and double moves to defend then squeals someone has hard done him by
Lando has always been a brat, like most British drivers. He’s so unlikable by everyone outside of the UK because he is such a brat and a cry baby.

Excellent little segment there by Ant demonstrating how Max clearly breached the racing regulations relating to movement under braking

And as Stela rightly said, breaches of important safety regs that the stewards did not penalise Max for and which ultimately led to Max going even further in subsequent laps leading to the crash.

max definitely doesnt like the racing as much as he says he does. gotten far too comfortable out front. red mist descended there, looked like him vs hamilton again
Even tried taking him out while they damaged.

Russell, Oscar, Sainz watching, laughing at the incident was priceless. Amazing grand prix and bloody fantastic to see Oscar take 2nd all while Max losing in RB's home track. The Lando vs Verstaapen is becoming a rivalrly the sport needs, and a good reminder of just how much of a prick he really is

Pretty ordinary from Max. Went inside to defend (fine) but then decided he wanted the outside line into the corner (not fine). Then to essentially run him onto the grass while he had a punctured tyre was even more ridiculous.

Not convinced Max is a great wheel to wheel racer. He's obviously incredibly quick. Lando last week went wheel to wheel with George across 4 or 5 corners, I just don't think you'd ever see Max do that.

My thoughts on the race...

While Verstappen was clearly responsible for the actual crash, both drivers repeatedly flouted the driving standards in the preceding laps. The crash could have been avoided if the race stewards did their ****ing job, showing black flags & handing out penalties to both drivers. With the race stewards sitting on their hands, and refusing to do their ****ing jobs, it was only a matter of time before one or other of the drivers caused an actual crash.

Verstappen - Was clearly to blame for the crash with Lando. He'd been doing double movements in the braking zone repeatedly, for several laps. The race stewards should have given him black flags, and possibly penalties, long before the actual crash. Then there's the question of why he was so slow after that final pit stop? Yes, he had a slow pit stop, with a wheel that didn't want to come off costing him 4 seconds. That allowed Norris to close the gap to him. However, it doesn't explain why Norris was so much faster than him after they both returned to the track. The radio messages suggested that he was unable to use 8th gear, which probably limited his top speed.

Norris - His only method of overtaking was an uncontrolled dive bomb into the corner(s), which invariably had one of 3 outcomes - he overshot the corner and went off the track, he forced the other driver off the track, he used the other car as a crash barrier, using them to slow himself and get himself turned around the corner. None of these are safe, nor are they consistent with the expected driving standards. Just like Verstappen, with his double movements, Norris should have been black flagged for his outrageously unsafe overtaking attempts.

Oscar - With SAFELY EXECUTED on-track overtakes of Perez, Hamilton & Sainz, Piastri should have been voted Drive of the Day. Oscar was clearly faster than anyone outside the Verstappen/Norris pairing, and would/should/could have won, if not for having his qualifying lap time deleted. Having said that, exceeding track limits is 100% driver error, so he has only himself to blame for not winning his first F1 GP.

Ricciardo - Started 11th, finished 9th, and picked up points for the team. Essentially, he finished where he started, given that Lando & LeClerc were effectively removed from the competition ahead of him, as a result of incidents which had nothing to do with Ricciardo. This is too little, too late, to save his F1 career. The only question is when Red Bull will pull the plug on him - will it be after Silverstone (next weekend), or will they wait for the mid-season break after Singapore?

Tsunoda - Had a poor race, starting and finishing in 14th, effectively going backwards by 1 position once you take Lando's retirement into account. It matters not.
