About time AI took over giving out the votes. Weight each stat and action to a determined point value and then let the AI work out who was the actual best on ground.

I don’t disagree that the system is shit and they get it wrong an incredible amount of the time.

But an AI system can never ever put a value on a player doing something that goes just beyond a ‘one per centre’ etc.

Some contested marks are worth more than others, some goals are worth more than others, tackles, kicks etc etc.
of course numbers will ALWAYS have a place but they always need to be contextualised
