The Brownlow has had weird shit for ages, obviously. I’m fairly sure Bont won’t win one now.

But honestly, what games are the umps watching? He’s had no votes for a couple of games when he was clearly best on ground, even if you didn’t have access to stats. Sanders gets two votes? Ffs, are they literally just looking at inside mids?

I’m sure supporters of other teams have their own similar instances. There are flaws to the coaches and players awards, but that the Brownlow continues to be the highest profile one and it’s voted on by the umpires is just archaic.

At least I’ve got money on Cripps. It’s like the umpires don’t know any other Carlton players.
