Not to be a doom and gloom, but I've had this horrible feeling for weeks that Cripps pips Nick to win it by a vote in the last round. If Daics is within a vote or two before the final 5 rounds then he's in pole position considering his strong end to the season.
The first two games will be interesting, Nick played well but we lost comfortably in both games. If he can get at least one vote in both games then that's a good sign.
I really hope he gets it though, he bloody deserves it. If he continues his current form in the coming years then he should eventually win one, but it'll be nice for him to snag one very early in his career.

If nick doesn’t win it, love Neale to win it. 3 x Brownlow medalist (could’ve been 4 ).
Be interesting first few rounds how he polls in the losses, could set the tone for the night.

I don't think Neale has had as good a year as previous. He got tagged much heavier this year

I think the AFL moved to 23 games so that 69 was perfect.

Less wins may hurt, but conversely Daicos didn’t poll as strongly until he was moved into the midfield full time halfway through last season. Had some great games at half back in ‘23, but didn’t get the votes.
Unknown how the change to a more inside mid in the second half of this season will impact voting. Priddis won one as a largely inside mid though.

Impossible to predict the umpires award. They always surprise us.
I do think he won't poll quite as well as a lot are expecting because we didn't win enough games and that seems to matter.
Don't rate the brownlow, but would like to see Nick win of course. Coaches award is better IMO and he got that.

be interesting to see how many times he gets 1 or 2 votes in a loss compared to either Cripps and Neale who im sure will get the 3 votes when their side lost in a couple of games
Over the years, I've come to expect, when we win, the oppo gets 1 or 2 votes.
When we lose, the oppo gets all three votes.
