North board "happy with FOS at 2" to stick it to us who've been "fawning over FOS" for 4 months.

Lol small club mentality
If we want FOS we will take him at 1. Still led to believe he's very much in play at 1 anyway.

For those who are interested, here is how I believe Armstrong could be available for us at pick 10 / 11 if we wanted him.

Granted there is some luck involved in him getting there, but after chatting to supporters from oppo clubs, maybe it isn't that far fetched?

The other question I suppose is do we rank Armstrong as the best KPF in the draft?

Armstrong @ 1
Jagga @ 6

dunno.

they most likely are chasing FOS, Walsh's cousin, if he is gone,

would they prefer to trade back and if so, who could they do that with?

not many have RFC picks, ignoring FOS, what types are CFC chasing?

What is surprising is that despite me saying numerous times that I can't see clubs with possible top 10 picks next year trading for mid-late 20s picks this year it appears that people still insist that it's not just possible, but should happen because we hold all those picks.

I cannot recall a trade made ever where a club has given up a future top 10 pick for a mid-late 20s pick and I cannot see it happening this year no matter how much people want it to happen.
The Suns did that to get Sharp, ended up being something like pick 15 for pick 27 from memory

Dear Santa/Blair, just get Bo Allan and Cooper Hynes on our list and i'll be happy. Hynes reminds me of a raw Paul Kelly
Hynes is not Paul Kelly but he is a interesting prospect at a later range

Used to follow Dusty as a supporter apparently. I just think he is a little different and a little unique and at a later pick not a bad POD. He might be good culturally for us and he looks versatile to me

he looks like a guy one could rotate and fill a few diffferent roles and work with the team to get better combinations and help the team perform better. he looks like a knockabout glue player but there could be a bit more there under the surface. I like the look of him in how he goes about it

RFC does not have a player quite like him atm

Yep im certain our targets are Jagga & Langford

The melts here are going to be crazy

We knocked back the deal for #2 + F1 for #6 & #11
We offered them #10 + #23

How do we stop Melbourne from drafting Langford at 5? Assume North pick Tauru at 2?

go for it

We are clearly happy where we are

The whole discussion is about How much different in rankings the top 6 mids are
The way we are acting it sounds like we rate the top 6 mids very closely.

If we have judged them as very similar we won't trade, unless it is a ridiculous overs offer

We have allready knocked back Pick 3 for pick 10 and Baker
and sounds like we have knocked back Pick 2, for anything involving Pick 6

If the saints want to be creative, good luck, you are in great hands with SOS regardless

I mean, what could go wrong :thumbsu:

I dunno but trading essentially pick 6 for pick 2 and pick 11 for next years pick 2-8 sounds like daylight robbery. Be mad not to

23/24 or is that too early

23/24 or is that too early
might be too late

I dunno

I think he could be a bit of a cult figure at RFC if we got him

he is bit rough around the edges, but he is not useless by the looks of it, so he actually has value and this is a super draft. Very interesting position RFC is in

there is just something about him like a potential old school throwback kinda type all rolled into one if I am reading between the lines correctly

During the national championships was there any occasions where some of these big players went head to head with each other?

For example who did Armstrong kick his 5 goals on in the battle of the Vics?
I recall Tauru running him down when Sims gave him a loopy handball into open goal so they potentially would’ve played on each other.

There was also footage of SA v Vic Metro where Draper demolished Smillie in a hard ball get and torched him from half back despite the size difference.

Would love to know how the KPP went on each other just so we can work out who can stand up on quality opposition and who are the ones that beat up on the lesser quality in the Coates League.

Smillie was huge in the last quarter of the championships final against Langford, Lindsay.
Also was matched up against bottom age 2025 top 5 prospect Riley Onley a lot. Smillie gave him a bath aswell.

A Lalor and Smillie combo will be absolutely brutal inside the contest.

We are not taking into consideration the form at the National Championships - FOS never made the All Australian under 18 Team !
