I beg to differ on Alice Edmonds. I said at the time of here DELISTING, the signs were there, that she was worth getting some more games into. Her kick was neat enough at that stage, her hands just needed to start clunking marks, and that was always going to be a confidence thing for her around her young body.

Monahan played out her last season at Port, came in for the odd game. She went from match winner to unwanted in quick time. Dare I say one the hardest things to manage in the AFLW is personal relationships, and we are not just talking between players.
AFLW semi pro league, 11 week seasons, lots of 1 year contracts, maybe $70,000 for low tier player.

Swings and roundabouts. Edmonds behind players at punt road slotted in for the dogs well. Tam Luke retired from Hawks and made an OK comeback with us.
We lose Molan ~ still getting a game at EFC. Small fwd tough position, Yassirs better.

Monahan went to Brizzy and wins 2 flags.... dime a dozen small defender.
Woodward did nothing at the aints, picked up by Sydney.
Greiser good pick up from the aints ~should be kicking more goals.

Sheerin? GWS reject. Killed it.

Know Edmonds was behind most, but she did show some signs is all I'm saying, and it turned out OK for her, as it did for Bulldogs because like most of the taller players, it takes time!

Its all the moving on of players, trades and delistings that have resulted in very little gains.
Sure we can say its been a small talent pool, unfortunate personality conflicts and disgruntled players, being forced to open up a list spot and shuffle spots to get the room to bring someone of a certain type who can only play a certain role and also really confined in the effort to develop younger players.
It’s just been so slow building a list.
It’s adds to the arguement to develop players in different roles and create more versatile options.
We’ve played about 50 games as a club and we’ve gone through alotve players, if Yassir hadve walked it’d be touch and go to say we’ve had more good players leave than we’ve brought in after the startup team.
That’s no good.

not to mention the players we prelisted over gregan, who we then traded pick 18(vic pick 9) for

trigger warning for those with weak stomachs:

it's rough looking at our initial list
