Was interesting to read Lalor hasn't had a full preseason for footy yet!

Still undecided....... LOL YEAH RIGHT!

There's every chance we get Lalor at 6 if we don't take him at 1.
You can't say the same for FOS.

Compelling argument. I still think we can get the best of both worlds if we get North's F1.

The Draft is so strong that Richmond should not give up pick 6 - there is just simply too many quality draftees

All clubs, including North, will have a list of scenarios they can quickly tick off when they are on the clock. Richmond are the one club that can simply sit pat and take their picks unless a ball tearing offer they cannot refuse is made. How that looks is anyone’s guess but the Tigers will not give up four top eleven picks in the best draft field in living memory.

Our North chums can prattle on all they like about what they will not accept. It is what they will offer that counts. They will make the offer. Richmond does not need to seek anything. It is a total and comprehensive power imbalance.

Richmond will take 1,6,10 and 11 to the draft. The rest is up for grabs and will nett a good return one way or another. It will not be North who profit from our hard work over the last few years in setting all this up.

I like the look of Shanahan reminds me of Jack pair him up with Faull or Whitlock been good get.

Hope he's still there at 18 and see how much Essendon want him

Essendon will want to get back into the first round after a bid on Kako.

They have the draft capital to make it happen, 28 & 31 are definitely on the table as they'll get chewed up. They also have a combination of either 2 x F1's or an F1 & F2

We are the prime candidates to trade with for that entry back into the first round with picks 10 & 11, WCE, Port & Freo with 12, 13 & 14 wont trade out, they might have to settle by dealing with GWS at 15 or 16 if they can't deal with us but we would be the preferred option.

Put yourselves in Blair's shoes, what would you do?

If there isn't a bid on Kako by pick 10, then place a bid. Essendon will match, but they'll lose 28 & 31 in the process and will want to trade those picks out for value (if they haven't already)

They now have the option, pretty much the only option, of getting back into the first round at a pick that has serious value.

My question is, what capital would you consider acceptable in exchange for pick 11? Remembering that the Dons are on the clock

& wouldn’t take any more over 1 or 2

The game is changing a lot atm as well we have seen teams like the pies win the flag and play very competitive footy with only 1 key forward with a couple of smaller marking medium forwards

Even Sydney who despite how that played in the grand final was probably the strongest side in the comp last season plays a short forward line in terms of key position forwards

I’m still an old school two key forward on field type but it doesn’t mean that’s the way the rebuild needs to be based

If that’s Lalor so be it. Don’t think either FOS or Lalor would last to six and don’t think you should take the chance.

Personally have it as Shanahan, Jack Whitlock, Faull but all are slightly different from each other so it’ll be what skillset do you prioritize.

Saints have said they’re looking to split 7 or 8, and there are realistically three teams who could do it. Us, GWS and Sydney, so it wouldn’t be out of the realms of possibility.
