AMW was good when he came in this year. Putting a line through Brown after eight minutes of game time?

I feel like any list management decision we make, you're just going to get get salty at every decision..
Hard to keep track but pretty sure half our list needs to be cut or traded away so we can take 20 picks in 1 draft.

Then halfway through next year he can chime back in with how we should have taken player x,y,z instead of a,b,c with perfect hindsight.

Don’t forget Lawson Humphries.

JT won’t be able to though because that bloke Lamb will clog our list with VFL fringe players and old timers and then trade away all our later picks for trash like he did last year.

MELBOURNE has appointed Tim Lamb as a national recruiting officer.

Lamb will report to Todd Viney - general manager of player personnel and strategy - who will act as national recruiting manager in 2012.

Lamb joins Gary Burleigh as Melbourne’s full-time national recruiting managers. Both Lamb and Burleigh will report to Viney.

Viney said the appointment of Lamb strengthened the club’s talent identification department.

“We’ve made a full-time appointment to our recruiting department and our resources with the addition of Tim Lamb, who has been a senior officer in the Victoria Police force for 22 years, he told melbournefc.com.au.

“He’s also coached football and been part of the elite junior pathway talent program. He’s been an assistant coach of the Vic Metro team for the last two years, and has been an assistant coach at Sandringham Dragons, and has also coached Mentone/St Bedes in the past

“He’s got a real passion for football and recruiting and he’ll join us full-time on Monday.”

Lamb will be responsible for TAC Cup, VFL, Associated Public Schools (APS), Associated Grammar Schools (AGS) and Western Australia.

Viney said Lamb had a “vast knowledge and a real passion for the game”.

“He’s got a great eye for it, and we were really impressed with his knowledge and experience, both in football and his professional career with the police force,” he said.

“He’s had senior management roles within the police force, and we think he’ll be a great acquisition to our football department.”

How in hell has the Dees culture gone so far south, when this guy has been about.?

Let's just get Todd Viney back. I like Todd. Replace Goody with Bucks or Leppa. Both seem like too good a footy brain to not have another good crack at coaching.

Lamb out Viney in
Goodwin out Bucks/Leppa in

Christmas would have come early if this happens.

Why do people keep talking about Buckley, the bloke is 52 and has a cruisy media gig which pays well. Why would he even contemplate giving that up to coach again yet alone coach a rabble like the Dees who can’t even make sound list decisions.

As far as the media gig question goes, coaching is a work of passion. He'd do it because he misses being apart of a club.

Id say he looks less invested in being a media guy aswell, he's not like Gaz or Browny or Kingy who are balls deep, he's still got half a toe in the coaching side for sure.

No premiership as a player. No premiership as a coach. That will be burning within Buckley.

I'm sure he could coach a side to many more "no premierships".
You either have what it takes or not.
Nah that's just stupid. He was a miracle sheed kick away from being a premiership coach.
