A true journeyman footballer.

lol got to love our inspired recruiting during our flag window. Another tall to clog up Casey’s forward line.
I'm more worried about Verrall development since Fullerton seemed to be getting the bulk of the ruck work on the back half of the year. Is he now 3rd string? Plonked in fwd line or even ressies?

He is pretty average but serviceable and if it means goody and co might actually trust him to rest Max a couple of times or at least let him fully heal when injured then I'm all for it. Plus maybe JVR gets to stay fwd. Costs nothing, just hope it is a 1 yr contract.

I'd be dangling a carrot in front of Rhys-Stanley... 2Yrs on low money.

Armstrong was pretty well held for much of the game, with his opponents able to apply enough pressure on him in marking contests that he struggled to hold onto his marks. In spite of those struggles he still showed just how dangerous he can be by capitalising on the few opportunities that did come his way, slotting four majors.

I’d be happy with this.

If we know he can still dominate at VFL level then he’s good for the kids coming through and can handle himself if needed in the senior side.
I’ve got some ITK guys..

Trac and Koz 100% staying
Tom Lynch not coming to Dees
Pick 25 from Adelaide for ANB
Melk and TMac will do another year
We have a deal arranged for a second ruck which we are very happy with

Those are all good points, but sadly Angus Brayshaw is not going very well mentally at the moment. ☹️
Ngl I'd find it a bit funny if this is who that second ruck turned out to be.

I don't sense it that way GS.
I think the club is holding off Re Verrell, while he builds his body and strength.

All the noise I've heard around Verrall is just that, excitement in what has has in his kit bag.
He needs to put on muscle and build his tank, and hopefully his agility.

Noob.. I've just breezed thru a number of videos of top 15 draft possibilities, and I'm more confused than when I started.

Is this a strong draft, because I don't see any running types apart from Ashcroft.

Well... running is only one part of the game, albeit a pretty important one. I'll assume you're talking more endurance than pace as you mentioned Ashcroft who's not quick.

Ashcroft as you said has excellent endurance, FOS has posted elite yoyo times in the past, he'll be an excellent runner. Jagga is elite in this area, never stops. Lombard has endurance and burst. Langford posted poor speed test numbers but his yoyo was well above average and in general he gets around the ground really well. Lindsay has foot speed and endurance. Smillie is above average.

There are plenty outside the first round that are also excellent runners, like Moraes and Gross.

Honestly, I have no idea who it is.

It was emphatic that we had something in place though.

I didn’t take it as ‘we have signed a gun ruck’ for after Max.’

I took it as though ‘we’ve found someone who we think can play a solid, genuine support role to Max when needed.’

Apologies if I didn’t word it clearly.

I was hoping it might have been Lachlan Blakiston myself.
