Awesome. Lots of good feedback on here about Faull from people that watch U18s and lower leagues. Looking forward to watching him play.Faull is better than Shanahan. Toughest KPF in the draft.
Same on Hotton, so glad we were brave enough on that. 2 of the best 6/7 mids going around.Overall review of night 1
The only pick I was iffy on was Trainor but after his reaction and interview he won me over. The concussion issues are a concern though.
Faull was a reach but I'd prefer us being bold and getting the player we want rather than risk him getting taken elsewhere. Especially considering the back half of that first round was all over the place.
Hotton I'm absolutely over the moon about. That one selection made my night.
The first two we got seemed like a fait accompli but getting Armstrong at 23 was unbelievable. So many mocks had him going between 8 and 15.
The trade with North was just the cherry on top really.
Yeah interesting. Long haul you trade for a F1 and hope who we had in mind falls. Potentially Dyson next year and another gun we are set midfield. Really happy with with beasts Lalor and Smilie. Salary cap we could grab/offer KPF who we target but very happy with RFC and how we are setting up with the upside of the other picks who were ranked highly by other clubs and we got emSo are we gonna use our pick tomorrow? What’s the strategy?
Pick 19 and 27 for potentially a top 5 pick you do it every day of the week. Death ride NthIt was a good deal for us with North but we are still giving away pick 19 next year.
And all of that is OK as a worst case scenario - we have Fawcett and Gibcus wanting in and Blight may still surprise. Is it ideal, of course not, but it's all development.lalor on ice and will be eased in, maybe plays late in season
Taj wont play
Faull wont play
Armstrong sneaky lil chance
Trainor very unlikely
Smillie will play some games
Why couldn't Hotton play later in the year, he only did his knee MayLalor is playing next year
Outside Hotton I reckon they’re all a chance for game time.
Trainor and Smillie will play most of year imo.
sonsie on the scrap heapDon't mind me, just checking out my new signature
anyone else would of preferred langford over smillie? i feel like langford will be better
Did he (Faull) test at the combine?Awesome. Lots of good feedback on here about Faull from people that watch U18s and lower leagues. Looking forward to watching him play.
He was good in the nationals, but I haven’t really watched him outside of that
Sonsie still my guy. I'll back him in until the end.sonsie on the scrap heap
Benefit of picking all VIC based players. They can all catch up after the draft with some of the current players and staff
youve removed all affiliation with him so your lyingSonsie still my guy. I'll back him in until the end.
