Are we thinking Jack Steele will go back to his old self next year? Don't feel like he will drop, wondering if hes a worthwhile choice right now.

Apparently dropped weight going into last season and it didn’t play to his strengths. Saints board says he’s put back on 4kg so is back to his usual playing weight. He’s seriously tempting at his price but I’ve got mild doubts that Ross’s gameplan suits his style of play so wonder if he can hit his previous heights. Plus the rumour is that Sinclair is playing mid this year and I’d assume Poo and Windy will see more minutes in there. Not to mention a fit (for how long?) Z Jones. Lots happening at the saints. Big watch as a team for me.

If Sinc plays mid then I’m all in on NWM

and I’ve ended up with negative thoughts about him but can’t remember exactly why.

I was listening to the Plus 6 pod the other day and Jeppa & Pete were fairly down on him, perhaps that’s what you’re remembering?

He’s on the watch list for me; need him to pass the eye test to be really interested.

Obviously we want a good start. Here are some numbers from the first 6 rounds in 2023.

Had a look at players priced at 60+ in 2023. Only 100 out of 274 that played exceeded their price.

In case anyone's interested, the worst were J Lyons, Perryman and Parfitt.

I'm interested in how they got this info .....would have thought Clubs would be keen to keep all their GPS data in-house ......or maybe the AFL have incorporated red light camera's ?

Looks like its the top scoring players in the VFL for last season

Hi,

I have a long standing points based keeper league and was hoping that someone knows of a different platform we can use other than the afl official version. We used to use ultimate but then last year went with a spreadsheet system which was too hard to continue and also didn’t allow for live scoring.

Everything the afl version has is what we want (keeper option, scoring options, squad sizes), however the one really important feature for us that I don’t believe they offer is the ability to set players in our own positions. We want a player who was drafted by a team to be able to keep that position rather than have to change. I did ask the afl site contact and they said they have no plans to add this feature which seems crazy to me.

Does anyone know of any site or platform that would allow this?

Maybe email Moreira's Magic, doubt it would be ready this year - but the 'Magic Sports' crew as they are calling it now are looking to get into alternative fantasy options and this could be one that they may be able to cater to.

Draft league question… in a keeper league, keep 15 players in a 30 man squad. Does the site allow you to swap players and or draft picks?
