I think we can afford to wait a week on Rozee. His BE is in the high 180s so even if he tons up this week he’ll still drop a significant amount. Could be in the mid to low 700s come lockout lift.

If he gets through this week solidly then he’s definitely a consideration for trade in next week
I’ve gone Rozee this week …. he solved my problem with Oliver

That’s a pretty good trade IMO …. expecting Rozee to come back with a bang

I definitely agree, I’m waiting on it. But I think if people have no where else to go I don’t mind the move

Yeah like WaynesWorld19 above mentioned, as a Clarry replacement for those who have him he’s the right price, but he’s on my list for next week 100% as he could help with other trades so rather keep it in my pocket for then as a viable option

The things sometimes you have to think though, is some mids are just better than others at working through a tag. Like Geelong tried to stop Gulden last week but gave up pretty quickly because he just runs too hard to be properly tagged. Daicos is similar if he could be tagged out of the game, he would have been all of last year and the majority of this year. He's had what, two games where he's seemed to be influenced by the tag. I reckon there are 10+ where he's had attention and fought over and above it. I don't reckon he's that taggable.

Option B

So really just comes down to Oliver to Neale vs NWM to Zorko.

Option B means holding Oliver probably beyond next week

I don't like the Neale option.

He is a lock to get tagged by Windhager tonight and they have the Saints coming up again for a second time.

That's 2 potential 60-90 type tagged scores. Neale is the type that gets frustrated by tags

Yep I've switched to NWM to Zorko instead.

I could still technically trade Oliver next week, potentially a straight swap to Rozee depending how he goes.

I reckon that Luke Ryan is in a purple patch at the moment, and it will stop at some stage (he's done this plenty of times in his career, perhaps not on this level, but he's strung together multiple strong games and then gone back to being an 80s or 90s type guy)

Teakle playing for North, could affect Xerris scoring

Us English owners need something to go our way. It's not going to be English lifting and not being a soft marshmellow so need other rucks to crash and burn too.

Teakle first ruck, Xerri forward please!

Agree that in the majority of instances he's too good for the tag, like this week where Shiels will probably go to him. However the Windhager hard tag in round 2 and the recent Neale-Bullen tag (who he has again in round 24) were effective. Cincotta, Jordon and Berry in the preceeding 3 rounds have also proved to be some of the most influential taggers recently. It's just something to be aware of and might swing things if you're umming and ahhing over keeping him or not.

Can I ask what your rank was round 1?
I would also love to see your team round 1 😂
You seem super set up for the byes. I thought I was but only have 16 premos playing this week and 16 next.
Hey mate, was ranked about 18000 after Round 1 and then proceeded to trade in Fyfe rather than Bonner, so hardly an ideal start to the year! Was up to 300th by the end of Round 4 though, so improved pretty quickly from there

Can definitely wait a week but if there’s no other options I reckon you can pull the trigger. Think he’ll be a top 8 mid if he plays out the year. His only bad games came when he was injured or being managed

Sideways trading is always a tick during the byes but does everyone tick off trading out a player and bringing them back in off their bye?
For example, to maximise premiums I’m thinking of trading Bont to Rozee next week which should make me around 100k.
Bont obviously has been inconsistent and I’ll watch him closely this weekend to see if I bring him back (he has north after his bye which is juicy) but then I can upgrade Powell back to Bont through DPP in round 16. Also helps me bring in a keeper in Rozee (hopefully) and lose Powell who has just been there for another score during the byes.
Thoughts?

I would never contemplate these sorts of trades, but then again, my team is far from finished and I'm still relying on rookies, so to me it seems like a waste of a trade. I need all the trades I can get to try to finish my team. Last year, I didn't complete my team until round 23.

The Loose plan for me is Oliver, macrae this week.. Freijah upgraded to an underpriced midfielder next week.

Then Sharp and Powell are the two remaining (outside of Xerri to Gawn)

I'd only do this if you're 50/50 that you even want bont back at all.

It can be an opportunity to jump off when we have these spare trades. Then reassess who you want for final upgrades (might be Bont, might be someone else).

EDIT: for the record I'm considering this option but with Steele next week.

Macrae to Simpkin or Harley to Arie?

First one moves a blue dot from next week to this week but means my two upgrades are Ryan and Clark (or someone less than him). Whilst the other lets me get any two premiums I want.

Macrae to Simpkin feels like the best for value and bye structure but I’m not really sold on Clark’s long term ability at that price and I’d prefer to only be trading in keepers at this stage
