Why would he go with Gulden? Surely the Saints would be targeting one of Heeney or Warner. Lock down one wing and the Swans just go the other side.

Everyone saying it's because he's had no preseason, but this isn't a rookie. This is a senior player who has previously had 8 preseasons behind him, so missing one preseason shouldn't be the reason his performances are this poor.
No need for the Dees to risk him but that is now three in a row for us. Even with the question marks over English and Marshall this year, they've both hit form and even the likes of Nankervis and De Koning (of the Carlton variety) are tearing it up at the moment. Coaches with Gawn at the pointy end might have a nervous week ahead.
