I feel you've gotta take a swing for the fences every now and then. Ranked 3k and trying to push into contention. Not going to get there brining the same players everyone else does every week.

Yes the rumours are true, I traded Clarry Oliver in last night.

Thinking was:

• outside his last two games his scores had been adequate for a player priced at 800k
• had the cash and wanted to make a move after a double down last week
• soft match up against Tiges and a soft match up upcoming
• high BE but not beyond the possibility of scoring close to it if he popped
• get ahead of the comp who will be looking to bring him in once he hits a score

He ****ed me with a 65 including only 4 points in the last quarter.

Yes I hate him now.

So couldn't get online before the lockout last night, and of course forgot that I hadn't set the loops on my rookies. I now have to wear Campbell's 35 in the forward line, and I don't get the chance to loop Windsor. At least Gawn (VC) eases the pain somewhat.

About two or three weeks too early. His match fitness is still not quite there yet. Not a terrible trade because I do believe everyone will have him in their M8 spot very soon, but going early on a play like that is risky.

I was considering Petracca believe it or not, but glad I didn't go there now as it looks like he can easily get tagged out of the game. Richmond like tagging with Marlion Pickett now, so thats a flag for any mids who play richmond in the future.

I am in a difficult spot now that I pretty much have to field Cadman this week (prefer not to field any of the Saints rookies against Port). Brisbane are without the Big O and only have Darcy Fort, so I think Cadman could score pretty well playing as chop out ruck.

Rucks haven't been as crucial this year (IMHO). If you started with any combination of Gawn, Grundy, English, Marshall or Xerri, you really don't need to stress about ruck at the moment.

I went Gawndy, with Jackson as cover. Jackson gone this week as he has done his duty, but trading Grundy is a very low priority at the moment.

Yeah, started Gawn as well, with Grundy and Jacko as Fwd cover - changed Grundy after the first week to Xerri, which has been a small positive. Jackson just went to Flanders (sorry Flanders holders!)
