Game Day 2024 Fantasy - Round One Discussion

Didn't go that well against the Swans when last played 84 from 25 possessions - not awful by any means, but could easily ride something like that if history repeats.... the next game against Saints is the threatening one - had a 136 last time - that's where I'm vacillating - could just a easily knock out a 150 that game as go 120+. Then had two games against the Lions of 110 +

Copped Ryan Clarke who doesn't exist anymore. Not sure who would get the job tonight.

Reminder to anyone going Marshall/Grundy like me to put Barnett on field if your C is gonna be on a player who plays Sunday or last game on Sat!

Marshall and Grundy are going to be locked after their games and you won't be able to put Barnett onfield for the VC loop after that.

If I have whits as VC at the moment - I should still be able to put Barnett on the field before the Saints game starts?

Correct. Would only need to do tonight if you plan to VC Marshall

Same issue though. Is he going to find those extra 15-20 points without his kick in one-twos? And with a couple of potential defensive matchups coming his way before the bye I feel as though he’s less likely to hurt you enough.

But with all that said, he’s a lock for top 6 in his position and there aren’t many of those around currently

Campbell is a clean ball user, I think you might have him for a while..... toyed with it, but got home late and missed doing!

I was 1 minute too late to swap him out.. glad i didnt after watching that, i think he's gonna be around as you say for a while

Fin out. Lazzaro fwd. Sharp in. I'm now able to upgrade Rozee to Daicos; however, I would prefer to keep Rozee.

I would all day - Rozee bye is Rnd 13 with Freo only, while Daics is Round Rnd 5 with Sydney (lots on lists) and Rnd 15 with 5 other teams. You would want 150-250 point score advantage to brake even perhaps.

Yep that's right - should've mentioned that you only need to do it right now if VCing Marshall. If anyone is VCing someone in the Geelong vs Saints game or Adelaide vs Suns game e.g. Dawson, you still need to put Barnett on field before Marshall plays though.

I've caved. Daicos in at D1 with the VC tonight. I don't think I can stand to have a season without him.

Fin out. Lazzaro fwd. Sharp in. I'm now able to upgrade Rozee to Daicos; however, I've decided to keep Rozee.

Rozee's run to start the season (up to Rd 11!) is too good to pass up imo.

I've gone the opposite way, after having him all last season. Pray for me

I had him last year and felt so bad for the people who didn't. Look I think its fine to fade him early, I was going that way up to an hour ago.

In the end it actually just worked better for my structure, let me get Roberts, McKercher and Sanders all on the field, and get Fyfe/McKenzie up forward to leave just Reid/Wilson on the field.
