So back to my original post, Levi starts off as a small forward or half forward.
That doesn’t preclude him from playing minutes on ball, but he probably doesn’t play more than 50% game time as a genuine mid.
I agree, pretty much covers my thoughts. That’s how he played in his bottom age years at Sandi.I'd expect him to play HFF/Mid and maybe get 20% game time on the ball in year one. Something tells me we'll see a few games where he goes ham with his brother to win us a game or two. We've got the flexibility to give others more time on the ball. Wouldn't surprise me if - in situations like that - we use Neale behind the ball more. Loved what he was able to do drifting back in the GF.

The freedom Washcroft gave him to do that was a factor in our dominance, IMO.I'd expect him to play HFF/Mid and maybe get 20% game time on the ball in year one. Concerning if Marshall is bid on that early. Could send us into deficit and make it more difficult to get the points for Annable.Watching Gettable Twomey put up who was invited to the draft and had both Levi and Sam as being invited by all clubs meaning both should be first round picks
He mentioned Freo as a likely team to nominate Marshall if not one of the NSW teams as most likely to bid
Levi is apparently likely to be bid on at pick 3 at the earliest according to Twomey he also said he expects clubs to chase both our early picks I feel the club will find picks to match both bidsConcerning if Marshall is bid on that early. Probably depends if North keep 2.Levi is apparently likely to be bid on at pick 3 at the earliest according to Twomey he also said he expects clubs to chase both our early picks I feel the club will find picks to match both bids
I don't know you would think we'd still have clubs in line for trades much like we did for Will and JasperProbably depends if North keep 2.
It was a tactic specifically for the grand final if Zork was tagged so we lost drive from the back half. Lachie spoke about it somewhere. Very clever. Doubt we use it much next year. The freedom Washcroft gave him to do that was a factor in our dominance, IMO.
Having two of that is mind boggling.

Taking out Day, Joyce, and Craven out of the equation, we have 3 list spots, not 4. It's why we had to trade Picks 60 and 66 last week.Question take Day out we have 5 picks counting Joyce and Craven as rookies so we're able to take 4 picks at the draft yeah?
Lets say: 4. Ashcroft, 24. Marshall, 56. Urquhart, 71. Gallop
Are you sure Joyce and Craven even though I'm not massive fan of either are Rookies we have delisted 6 players of our Senior list we have 6 picks not sure Rookies count as senior list spots are we going an extra 2 rookies next season?Taking out Day, Joyce, and Craven out of the equation, we have 3 list spots, not 4. As deep as the midfield is looking we need Dunkley to stay fit.He is super important blunting gun oppo mids and we only have one of him
So the Club has decided to carry 2 extra rookies into next season I don't understand that it means we have 2 less senior spots available on the clubs listPerrip is right on this point; only three draft picks, Levi, Marshall and Gallop or another kid; that’s it.
These days there's no difference between senior players and rookie list players beyond some salary cap concessions and the length of the initial contract (if just drafted). Having the maximum number of rookies is normal for contending clubs because it maxes out the amount of player contracts outside the cap. Having the maximum number of senior list players is common for other clubs because they generally want to have the most national draft picks available because the talent is more available earlier, not in the rookie draft. So the Club has decided to carry 2 extra rookies into next season I don't understand that it means we have 2 less senior spots available on the clubs list
can the club elevate rookies

And we do have extra coverage for the wing as well. So I wouldnt be overly worried if we had to play Berry in the bigger defensive mid role for a few weeks.Berry is pretty impactful in that position if we needed to cover a handful of weeks
Levi - 6: There is uncertainty on where the Ashcroft bid comes, but Ashcroft is Brisbane-bound as a father-son selection regardless. He will join forces with his Norm Smith Medal-winning brother Will after their father Marcus played in three flags as a Lion. Ashcroft is ultra-professional, self-driven and a dual under-18 All-Australian.
Marshall - 22: The hot tip is the Swans will place a bid on the Lions’ academy prospect, who runs all day and finished the season well, including receiving best-on-ground honours in Sandringham’s third-straight Talent League premiership. Brisbane does not really need another midfielder, but Marshall will provide quality depth. If not: Sydney may wait until their next pick to place a bid.
