I might get in trouble for this or someone will pull up some stats contradicting me, which is totally fine, but it seems to me that there are a disproportionately high number of people of Italian descent involved in the trade/list management space.

Ambrogio of course, but also Silvagni, Dodoro for years and years, and I haven't really put much thought into this yet. Could it be a cultural thing that Italians are really well suited to this kind of wheeling and dealing, better than other cultures?
Conole ???

Is that Italian?

Matt Rosa new Essendon list boss is of Italian decent.

That's the bit that confuses me. Why didn't we use Pick 59 to pick Day up tonight, instead in the PSD tomorrow?
1. Because Day didn't nominate for the Draft
2. Because Day can be signed as an SSP since he was delisted by the SUNS. Like, Prior & Narkle who were delisted by their respective clubs, didn't nominate for the draft, and can be signed by their new clubs

Because he would get a standard 2 year national draft, draftee contract.

As a preseason draftee, we can sign him to terms amiable to both, i.e. a 1 year contract that suits us.
