I haven't seen any of Ashcroft other than a couple of highlight videos... I wonder if he will be round 1 ready to slot straight into the senior side in 2023.

Looking at that you can see how important it is that Berry comes on and that Rayner and Cocky can impact as well. Need a brute or two to compliment them, especially in the big games.

I really like how active he is around the contest as well, looks like he’s always on the move either waiting for a handball receive or to get it himself.

I went to the Lions academy game today,(they had a crack against better and bigger opposition) also it seems the umps vic bias continues down to this level.The boys were harshly done by on numerous occasions. Skill errors and decision making the main difference in the end.
Heard( via good source) Fages is liking the half back for Jaspa. Is in contact regularly.

Looking forward to watching the replay when it goes up. Hasn't been too much talk about him around the place so maybe it wasn't as impactful? Having said that it was in a 7 goal win so it's not like they're cheap stats in a beaten team.

I actually like him on the wing. Gets up and down the ground well. Was no coincidence when they shifted him there after half time, the Lions banged home 5 goals against the wind,including a ripper of his own from 50

I'm tempering my excitement levels on him being a Lion next yr. That way, if he chooses not to opt for father son, I'm prepared.
