I seriously can't believe we're getting a second Ashcroft too. God help us if we have to play at RNA etc - would make me want to move teams if I were a player. Vic Park come on down

Agree, although the carrot of playing in the new Olympic stadium if you can hold on for a few years might be enough to get them through to the other side if that happens. The RNA would certainly be a better option than Carrara at any rate.

This is Will in the gws game but figured it fitted this thread.

Dunkley sends the ball toward Will. Will evades one opposition player, taps the ball forward and evades two players with the same move, then he gets held in an attempted tackle that he breaks free from.

He is then pounced on by four GWS players who get a hold on him with one other gws player in front blocking the free space and he STILL gets the ball over his shoulder to lohman who has another two players either side of him but he gets the goal.

All in 13 s.

Far out.

We have lots of good times ahead.
GWS game moment stood out but I didn't realise he did the same against Geelong in first quarter of prelim. Took on 3 or 4, including their ruck forward Shannon Neale and they could not bring him down. Amazing and scary at the same time, he's a 20 year old that's going to grow stronger !

What do you think about the NGAs? In my opinion, they are a far bigger rort.

They were raised as a way to increase indigenous participation, despite Indigenous participation being at twice the population proportion.

Kako this year. Likely top 10 pick. Born in Melbourne. Raised in Melbourne. Grew up In Melbourne playing AFL. But his parents were born overseas so Essendon get priority access. Ugle-Hagan obviously. Hell, Andy McGrath went pick 1. A few years later he'd have qualified as NGA. I just dont get it.

could not agree more.

Quaynor, Kako, Ugle-Hagan and then even kids like Chris Johnson's lad - imagine if he was a star? Father/son for Lions and Essendon get to take him as an NGA prospect , why? Because he would have had no exposure to footy without the existence of the Essendon NGA? give me a spell!

I heard Levi has an after-school job at Qantas and he offered Albanese a free upgrade to the Chairman's Lounge in return for political favours. How could anyone draft someone with such character concerns in the top 5? It'd be madness.
Levi's also lobbied for nuclear power plants at the Gabba site, Toombul, and Victoria Park!

Just walking, straight past me, nothing in hand and walked straight out the main entrance.
No one is asking the hard hitting questions, what colour was his mouthguard?

Gettable today:

"No one is expecting Richmond to bid on Ashcroft at #1, it'd be a shock if they did. North & Carlton are a chance at Picks 2 & 3. There is a situation where he gets through to Melbourne at Pick 5."

"Sam Marshall. Somewhere in the 20s is where a bid will come in. Sydney has been linked as a potential bidder for him."

Out of the 2 Ashcroft brothers Levi is considered the life long Lions supporter where Will apparently followed Geelong
Heard Levi in an interview the other day say that he was a North Melbourne fan growing up.

Lol really imagine being a North supporter I haven’t seen the interview but surely it had to do with Brad Scott because I remember Will saying he followed Geelong because of Nigel Lappin
