Could we play Levi in the backline, similar to how Collingwood need Nick Daicos and North with Sheezel before building him up for the midfield? Just looks like a creative and calm user and someone we want the footy to be with.

Absolutely could, but think we have enough weapons down back now and Levi will have more opportunity to rotate onto the ball and wing off HFF.

Quick prediction based on nothing.

Not sure what your 2025 list capacities are though.
We currently only have 6 list spots available. If we're not taking Sam Day during the SSP, we'll be drafting 4 players at the National Draft. Since it's likely that we are, we'll be drafting 3 players at the draft. Personally I think Gallop is more likely than Unwin because we drafted Craven & McLachlan in the MSD.

I think Haley also invented the “keep it simple” approach but Matthew’s gets the credit for adding “you’re not rocket surgeon
“ or something like that.
I think when you look at the coaching tree of all the premiership winning coaches (maybe even all the current day coaches) they can pretty much all be traced back to one of Norm Smith, Tom Hafey or Allan Jeans.

As an example, Fages spent time at Hawthorn with Clarko, who spent time with Mark Williams, who spent time with Kevin Sheedy, who was coached by Tom Hafey.

Craig McRae and Chris Scott, both played under Leigh Matthews, who was coached by Allan Jeans.

Simon Goodwin spent time with Paul Roos, who was coached by Rodney Eade, who was coached by Allan Jeans.

Damien Hardwick, see Fages, but also played under Mark Williams AND Kevin Sheedy. That's a fantastic pedigree really.

Adam Simpson played under Denis Pagan, who played under Ron Barassi, one of Norm Smith's most famous disciples.

Luke Beveridge spent time with Clarko, and before that he played under Stan Alves at St Kilda, who was coached by Ron Barassi.

John Longmire, see Paul Roos.

Mick Malthouse was coached by Allan Jeans AND Tom Hafey.

Mark Thompson, see Kevin Sheedy.

John Worsfold played under Malthouse.

Malcolm Blight played under Barassi.

David Parkin played his entire career under John Kennedy and then took over immediately as Hawthorn coach, so probably an exception there.

But you get the idea.

I'd be surprised if we go another small after choosing to extend Craven. He seems to have shown enough to warrant an extension as opposed to delisting and looking for a small forward in the draft.
We've essentially got two genuine KPFs on the list next year in Hipwood and Day. Morris and hopefully Lloyd can be good counterparts but they're going to struggle if they're giving up 10cm+ and 10kg+ to top flight defenders.
Smith is our ruckman of the future, but the most he'll realistically contribute to the forward line is the same as Oscar early days.
