I genuinely hate Carlton supporters in WA more than I detest West Coast. They are smug little *&^ , for no reason.
That’s the spirit! Now harness that hate .. and channel it towards WA favourite Paddy Cripps on Saturday.

This rivalry has started from some sparks but dammit … I won’t rest until it becomes a Forrest fire!

Besides, it’s way too easy and almost bordering on social taboo to pick on and laugh at the eagles these days.

You misunderstood me - it's not the players I dislike, it's their supporters. Cripps is an ex-Aquinas boy, so not much to dislike. However, he was lucky to escape a suspension in the year he won the Brownlow.

Umpires this weekend are 9 - Matt Stevic 10 - Robert O'Gorman 19 - Alex Whetton

Stevic can be biased against us, but we will be playing in neutral territory
sadly the crowd is likely to be mostly Carlton fans. a quick trip across from melb to adelaide. hopefulyl some WA folks make the trip too fora great weekend of football and other events.

What makes someone a good person because they went to Aq? Plenty of idiots have gone through Aq. Plus plenty of good people.

it's the school holidays and all of our allocated tickets sold out ages ago

Is our game the double-header with the Bulldogs/Geelong match?

Hopefully some of the neutrals turn up early and get around us.

that school has produced Sharp, Fyfe, Logan McDonald, Cripps, Liam Baker, Chad Warner,Quentin Lynch, Yeo, Devon Robertson, Aaron Hardie and many others I have missed

The school has parents who have sent their sons their who just happens to be good at football.

and can afford the private school costs...

Yep, like I said plenty of great people have had their parents send them to Aq and plenty of not so great people have had their parents send them there.

I can vouch first hand that Aquinas has in the past had many social issues that have stained the school badly from high levels of racism, misogyny and bigotry.

It's widespread and definitely not just Aquinas. But people saying that Cripps is automatically a good person because he went to Aquinas doesn't mean it's so. He may well be a terrific guy or not so much but his schooling doesn't mean jack.

being from the poorer side of town when i was a lad i never heard of Aquinas , but i imagine as you say, like all schools whether private or goverment run, there will be good and bad types in all.

A lot of the boys have come from farming families, whose parents have had to make great sacrifices. Our family often shared meals in our home with some of the boarders. We sent our boy there because he was so passionate about sport and we wanted the best opportunities for him. Are we wealthy? no

Aquinas is one of the 'most affordable' of the private schools. Their mission is to enable boys to be the best man they can be.

They had a very good football development coach named David Gault - think he has moved onto Scotch.

Yes I know him personally. What has that got to do with Cripps being a good bloke because he is from Aquinas?
