I guess that's what the "2 weeks" means - back after the bye, not worth risking players who might be OK against North.

Checkers, De Goey, Pendlebury and Richards back immediately after the bye would be a big boost.
Yep - sure will be.Checkers, De Goey, Pendlebury and Richards back immediately after the bye would be a big boost.
Ned Long should be available too. Not sure if we think he can add value or is going to be depth.Yep - sure will be.
Plus, McStay to step it up in training, which will be great for him & the group, I'd imagine.
I’d be holding Jordy back another week to avoid travel if that was the case and have him cherry ripe for Essendon.Checkers, De Goey, Pendlebury and Richards back immediately after the bye would be a big boost.
Checkers, JDG and Pendles will be a massive boost. After that it's diminishing returns from returnees until Elliott and McStay.Checkers, De Goey, Pendlebury and Richards back immediately after the bye would be a big boost.
Agree. The only remaining dilemma with that group is second ruck and where to play frampton , and hence whether to keep Dean. . I still reckon they could experiment with running frampton at second ruck out of defence and Kreugs takes the forward line duties. So a week or two following the bye we'll have all of those 4 mentioned above in. How do you change the squad? I'd go with the below.
OUT: Dean - Macrae - Bytel - Markov
IN: Mihocek - Pendlebury - De Goey - Richards
FB: Howe - Frampton - Maynard
HB: Quaynor - Moore - Noble
C: J. Daicos - Pendlebury - Sidebottom
HF: Richards - Mihocek - Hill
FF: Schultz - Kreuger - De Goey
FOLL: Cameron - N. Daicos - Crisp
INT: Harrison - Lipinski - Hoskin-Elliott - McCreery
SUB: Sullivan
I like that team a lot
Loving the look of that side on current form. Thats a deep interchangeSo a week or two following the bye we'll have all of those 4 mentioned above in. How do you change the squad? I'd go with the below.

It's an interesting one. I think Frampton is much more suited to being down back, and conversely really like WHE in that third forward role. But, it would be risky throwing Kreuger into the ruck.Agree. The only remaining dilemma with that group is second ruck and where to play frampton , and hence whether to keep Dean. . I still reckon they could experiment with running frampton at second ruck out of defence and Kreugs takes the forward line duties.
Looks like 17 to me.So a week or two following the bye we'll have all of those 4 mentioned above in. How do you change the squad? I'd go with the below.

Wait until we get Elliott and McStay back too...Looks like 17 to me.
Stop it. Give the others a chance.Wait until we get Elliott and McStay back too...
I like that side too but it seems to be a defender short as we nearly always play a defender off the bench, unless of course we play WHE or Sidebottom as a defender in the rotations. So a week or two following the bye we'll have all of those 4 mentioned above in. I agree. And an Elliott and McStay return only puts more pressure on forward spots. We might find a Nobel 2023 finals story up forward this year come finals time.I like that side too but it seems to be a defender short as we nearly always play a defender off the bench, unless of course we play WHE or Sidebottom as a defender in the rotations.
Well we'll see soon enough. With Titch out for so long, there's a spot for a first possession mid to take some of the physical pressure off Naics. Plus he really tackles.Ned Long should be available too. Not sure if we think he can add value or is going to be depth.
I'm glad you included Richards in that group. He is best 23 at the moment.Checkers, De Goey, Pendlebury and Richards back immediately after the bye would be a big boost.
He's a tackling beast. Can't wait to see him, Beau & Bruz do the double/triple gang tackle on an oppo player..Well we'll see soon enough. With Titch out for so long, there's a spot for a first possession mid to take some of the physical pressure off Naics. Plus he really tackles.
I think Sidebottom would be a likely candidate, until McStay returns and then I’d happily have WHE do itI like that side too but it seems to be a defender short as we nearly always play a defender off the bench, unless of course we play WHE or Sidebottom as a defender in the rotations.
And then eventually add Mitchell for Sullivan and mcstay for KruegerSo a week or two following the bye we'll have all of those 4 mentioned above in. How do you change the squad? I'd go with the below.

Nick is slaying it as a first possession mid. With Jordy and Pendles coming back and the form of Crisp as a full time midfield, it's going to be tough for Mitchell to come into the team, let alone Long. Handy depth to have though.Well we'll see soon enough. With Titch out for so long, there's a spot for a first possession mid to take some of the physical pressure off Naics. Plus he really tackles.
