6 to 8 weeks recovery!! Considering it's surgery on his foot, he wouldn't be doing any running only upper body conditioning, so how long after the 6 to 8 weeks would Titch be ready to play. He would probably need a good block of a mini pre-season of say 3 to 4 weeks.
Every chance we won't see him again in the regular season.
Looks like Sulli has got that midfield position for the remainder of the home and away season at least. Also an opportunity for a Macrae to step up and provide some relief in that midfield....
I think we’ve grabbed Long for inside assistance. Macrae ain’t it at that lvl

Considering De Goey went from 2 weeks and it will reach 6 weeks my 10-12 might not be far off.

Well l'm expecting to see him straight after the bye, along with Pendles, Mihocek and Richards, maybe even McStay...

But.....

If we start seeing more injuries and delays in player returns, then our season has all the hallmarks of Geelong 2023. Win the flag, then the following season derailed by injuries...

People said the same thing about Jamie and Tom. They are now 6-8. Just saying don't get to excited until they are actually named in the team.

Hopefully Billy's and Titchs' injuries are more complex then the others and no accurate time frame or rehabilitation process could confidently be given...

Only upside is that it's probably added another season onto his career, as he wouldn't have played much footy this year...

The 6-8 estimate includes the return to running estimate well before that.

If you were paying attention you could see this coming weeks back in regards to Mitchell.

It's disappointing but I feel we have more options to cover for him this season which is a positive.
The positive is that we've been able expose Sullivan to senior football.
Better now than later in the season, it gives us more options, and he's shown himself to be up to it.
Getting more games into him now means he'll be better prepared come finals time (if we make it).

Weird post. 6-8 weeks on an injury report is the indicator of when he’d be ready to play again, not 6-8 weeks before he can run and build fitness.

He's been walking around on crutches with his foot on the ground today...! And on a scooter to walk his dog. On his insta stories.

Yes he would benefit from having some weight on his foot to continue to stretch out the plantar fascia. Otherwise letting it get tight again, after a release, is not going to end well.

Exactly what I was thinking!

With our injury reports, you think 6 to 8 weeks is a 100% accurate time frame?

Hopefully Titch is able to walk properly unassisted on it after about 4 weeks, then he would basically require a mini pre-season to build up his match fitness, and to see how the foot holds up to strenuous activity, as these issues can linger for longer, maybe up to over 8 weeks of recovery.

I would like to see the updated injury report after about 4 to 5 weeks in regards to Titch before l take the 6 to 8 weeks as gospel....

You’re shifting the goal posts here to suit your narrative. And you’re making assumptions about recovery time frames with no medical experience of your own.

Injury recovery timeframes are never going to be accurate 100% of the time. Sometimes unforeseen things happen and recovery takes longer, sometimes a player responds better to rehab than expected and comes back sooner. It’s fine not to trust a predicted recovery timeframe, just don’t pretend like you’ve got a clue on how these things work, we can leave that to the resident experts like The Royal Sampler and Gone Critical
