I mean it was obviously a joke as he gets told that from Fremantle fans on twitter all the time. Given where we sit and what we have shown maybe hes right 🤷‍♂️

But Im sure it's because he hates Fremantle not because we have been a disappointment for the past two years.
is that you David? ;)

I think the issues with Freo supporters and King go back to the comments re Brent Harvey accusing Crowley of pinching him. No bruising , no witnesses, no vision and Crowley gets a week. Kings take “why would Harvey lie?” Harvey Kings mate of course.
Then the Gaff incident, that night he is on and his take is “Brayshaw will recover but has anyone asked how Gaff is feeling right now?” Of course King used to coach Gaff. Totally didn’t read the room A 19 yo has a broken jaw and he is more concerned with the perpetrator. FML🤦🏻‍♂️

I think both Kane Cornes and Mathew Lloyd's criticism of Freo is bang on.

Kane is never bang on and if he ever is it’s a case of broken clock being right twice a day. So tired of people ever giving him credit when his opinion changes every week and he never admits when he’s wrong. He stands for nothing and will completely ignore any and all evidence that his opinion is wrong.

Is there anyone in the media you enjoy?

Was it? The first minute and a half was focused on the team's performance in general and was pretty fair (bar trying to have a single-answer explanation for highlights that didn't fit neatly in that single answer - Treacy's misses in particular were just pure aberrations). But from there, basically everything else was focused on Darcy and Fyfe.

The Darcy stuff wasn't as bad as most weeks from Kane, and Darcy's definitely not at his best fitness wise. But English had little real stoppage influence - I certainly wouldn't blame Darcy for our stoppage failures. The mini pre-season I find a bit daft though: Jackson needs continuity, Darcy even with his limited fitness is providing value to the team, and we're already 3 games into his return: if a mini pre-season was going to happen it should've happened before he returned, especially with the bye. At this point, there's no sense in not continuing to play him into fitness.

The Fyfe stuff is a horrible face plant from Kane though. Fyfe's definitely been struggling and the 0 tackle game is a terrible indicator, and you can make the case we need a more energetic midfielder in there (I'd still stick with Fyfe for now though - he's got enough runs on the board this season). Oddly, they don't talk about that, which I think would be a valid criticism. But Kane shows these 7 kicks like they speak for themselves and...they just don't. There's way worse kicking performances from Fyfe this season that you could use to bring up that point, and Fyfe wasn't our worst kicking midfielder in that game by any means.

No actually. Like I said, most of the prominent ones are extremely reactionary and/or pedal the same talking points about us every week no matter the result or accuracy of said point. Then cherry pick meaningless stats to prove their point. E.g. “Jackson has better numbers as a ruck than a forward freo don’t need Darcy” instead of comparing team score and stats when each is ruck/forward.

Montagna is the only one that ever has any decent insight on us and that’s because he’s on our payroll.

There's a weird irony in Kane declaring that Nat's time is up after a midfield star in his prime went beast mode and made him look like a slow old man.

He's probably envious, and I'm not kidding

Was thinking this.

Agree with Kane's assessment on Darcy for once, instead of the stupid take of not working with Jackson, he went against Darcy for being unfit, which he is due to his limited preseason.

He looked unfit in the pre season too, really does need to have a massive off season this year and come back firing for pre season.

Thanks for the reminder.

Absolutely shocking.

that's a really good point - were there as many games in Tasmania then as well? we seem to keep getting those
Hawks and North have had games down there for many years not sure how long. The Saints also played down there. It was the only way these clubs could survive. That and with hand outs from the AFL.

am assuming it's not Lego lol
Back when the kids were younger they’d get bored of the Lego and wonder off eventually, meanwhile Dad here found himself sitting there on his own for probably a lot longer than’s probably healthy ha ha, Lego never gets old!

I wish I was fibbing about that boat… if we lose to GC I should get it all finished by early next week 😁

Yeah, I think Darcy should get more heat for his fitness. He's moving like a slug on the field.
