3 of the top 10 aint bad! Feel like Rowell has been shoehorned into that 10, love what he brings but I feel like he will have the career of Ben Cunnington, 200 games of just a tough solid contested ball player not match winning sort of star. Unless of course he recaptures his first 3 games form.
Jackson, Day and Young could easily finish top 3.

With how good Serong, Green, Anderson and Warner are I think it'll be borderline impossible for Young to get in there, just by way of position played. Day is starting to look like the player Hawks thought he would be and could maybe push into the aweseome foursome. If Rowell can remember how to get uncontested possession he might make it interesting as well.
If only Carlton hadn't lobbed that bid on Henry, I wonder who we had on our radar next. Pickett?
Pretty good pick by Sydney though. Warner was about pick 39 or something. Frederick at 61 was a pretty good get too by us.
That ain't how it works, Pickett would have been long gone by the time our like pick 30 came around (we mightve even had picks in the 50s actually)

Hey Dale...I tend to avoid you like the plague after a loss and probably don't show you enough love.
But after a win...
It had more of an impact on the next year where we went into deficit, so the question becomes more - Chapman or someone earlier? (Fairly happy with Chapman IMO)

Glad JL mentioned JOM in the context of players finding their feet at new clubs. Dude is turning it around

It’s kind of a redundant question. If Hawks get the next Buddy or Judd that quickly takes them into premiership contention in a few years, then they could zoom right past us.

Anyway, Hawks to me have the bones of a good side that needs time to compete. West Coast on the other hand will need multiple good drafts to get back there.

I think they are a year or two ahead of WC just to the nature of the last time each team were contending but they have a lot of drafts ahead of them still. Hawks arent passing or catching up to us anytime soon, regardless of drafting a once in lifetime forward like Lance Franklin this year or not

Not so sure on Hawks TBH. They have already used 2 top ten picks (6 and 7) on DGB and Ward and neither are particularly impressive.
Day was a good selection by them. Still waiting to see Cam McKenzie from last year I think
Switched it on for the first time this year.
Saw Damien Barrett has now been promoted to actually providing the special comments on the matches equally alongside Llordo.
I don’t want to hear Barrett’s poorly informed opinion on anything related to footy. He never kicked a ball in his life at this level.
There is 100 opinions on this freo BF board alone more qualified than him.

I really really like what I saw from McKenzie but yeah, I dont see them catching up to us anytime soon. Personally, if I was generous, the only ones on their list I would say have capability to be on a similar level/potential as Amiss, Jackson, Young, Serong and Brayshaw (ie genuine A-grade stars and include I'd Johnson in there but that would getting ahead of myself) would be Moore, Lewis, Day and Mackenzie and that is adding a lot of projection on Mackenzie and assuming Lewis stays fit and develops some more.
