oh blah blah blah.

We lost because we weren good enough

The WEagles won multi premierships despite travel and scheduling.

So lets jsut get out fitnes up beyond the vic teams. lets get our skill up and we wil lwin

Once nd for all this club has to stop blaming umpires and the AFL for our failures.

Move on . lets win some games

we have to have half at home . half away.

Ok with that agreed on we next goto why does fremantle travel to Tassie
Answer is crowds in Melb are lower for North Melb v Freo and Hawks v Freo than other victorians clubs playing Those two

So we stuck with one game per year in Tassie. next Why did our plane back from Tassie run out of water 30 minutes into flight , but the plane didnt divert to Melbourne or even Adelaide

Hmmmm no answwer to that one. I think there is a conspiracy. the AFL sabotagued the water on the plane and ensured no airport would accept the plane landing.

When you are not allowed to train or get on the ground before you play or anywhere remotely close it is more than a conspiracy. We need to do the same, tell all visiting clubs they need to train at Joondalup or Pinjarra.

Wasnt an AFL decision or Footy Club decision.

Sadly the grounds are not upto so much usage now.

So the answer is possibly to ban all clubs training on the main ovals such as MCG/ Adelaide oval/ Gabba/ SCG OPTUS OVAL etc etc and only allow training on suburban grounds for all . including the "Home" teams . that is the fair way.

Allow the stadiums to recover. would also mean limiting Concerts and other non AFL activities from those grounds during AFL season. That would be harder to puit in place

It's not possible to use AFL and fair in the same sentence.

Two things can be true at once. The vast majority (99.99%) of the time, AFL teams lose because they are not good enough. But it’s stupid to ignore mitigating factors. Travel is a burden and the AFL consistently increases that burden for money. It’s not a conspiracy but the fact that Pendlebury has never played in Tassie or even Geelong isn’t good enough. You can only compromise something so much for money.

Lobster: You can only compromise something so much for money.
AFL: Hold my beer……😜

Has any body seen the Zero Hangar vision of how our, the Fremantle Dockers, was set up. The harships, the shit deal we got from the VFL/AFL, and still getting.
A good watch.
But be referred to as a franchise club irks me. To me, that is a club run by the AFL, owned by the AFL.We, as a club are not owned by the AFL as the Giants and Suns and soon to be Tassie Devils.

and yet Walker keeps getting slammed on BF

others think Rivers is "not worth it"
Rivers is not worth it. He's in form since he has changed position to the middle with Petracca going out and he is still listed as a "Medium Defender". Rank him against inside mids and he wouldn't be in many lists.

Our mids are better and we don't need to spend big money to get him in a position we are strong in.

Raz, the reason we play then down there is so the two clubs can get some finances for themselves rather than ALL of it from the AFL.That applies especially from the Roos. Regardless of what they will tell us, they are still feeding off the AFL, as are a few others.
The AFL have said that no prominent VFL would play either of those sides in Tassie.
It is not a case of toughening up, but just asking for a fair deal... which, we have never ever had.
Oh and also, the decision made to not allow Fremantle to have a run at the MCG was an AFL decision. They explained they had to have the G in tip top conditiopn for the Pies V Blues clash.

Exactly,
Gate takings is a factor in not sending a big Vic club to Tassie, so if it is all about money we need to adjust it other ways. One Extra home games for all Western Australia teams which will bring in extra 20K-30K attendance per match with a higher cost per ticket for all of the teams bar Collingwood. This is to offset the travel load and forcing us to go to remote places. They can rotate all vic clubs through this once every 5 years so not even that big of a burden.

It's all about money anyway, this will make more money.

The flights are the same for a normal game, Freo / Melbourne club or AFL are paying regardless. It's chicken feed with the sums involved.

Looks like our game v Port will be the last game of round 24.
At least we'll know what the stakes are / won't be depending on other results to go our way after the fact I guess?
