Am I the only that thinks it’s a bit forced that they make up a medal just to give to the wining captain? I understand wanting to honour Barassi but it’s like the boffins at AFL house reached into the bottom random draw for an idea.
Seems to be that to me as well. Name as many medal for VFL players so no other great players from other states can get a chance.
Should this be filed under other teams or miscellaneous?

Andrew Brayshaw will need a brownlow medal and norm smith medal before moving back to Victoria in order for his media career post footy to match the opportunities he will have in Western Australia.
Andy has some very good connections in Victoria
He has a leg up on these things compared to others
If it was speed that was needed Freddy would be leading the
AFL for tackles. Unfortunately, its more than that
