Be specific, what else do you actually want in the pack from North?

How an organization does anything demonstrates the mind set of that organization. They constantly go on about how great it is to be within the 4 walls of NMFC, and how special we are as supporters, yet they treat the everyday supporter as an afterthought.

The pack sent out is a bare minimum 1 day effort. I would rather nothing and be told that all the money is going towards the team than that crap.

I have no idea how they look after the inner sanctum, I do know I pay around 1k a year to be a member and that they won't even send my scarf to Perth. And the best they could do for 20 years of continuous membership was a PDF that I could go and get printed myself.

That along with many broken promises of supporter experiences for donating certain amounts to the many different fund raises over the years, such as being invited to the team photo day and getting a photo with the team (didn't happen) or the fan day experience in the rooms (didn't happen), demonstrates a distinct lack of thought and care given towards membership engagement, satisfaction and appreciation.

Does this mean I won't be a member, no the club means more to me than that. It does demonstrate a club that at the moment is happy to do the bare minimum where it thinks it can get away with it.

Yes Roogal, its tough supporting clubs in any sport that have won only one premiership in the history of the comp, in our A.F.L. though as I have posted elsewhere, the competition is getting very even, with us improving the latter stages of the year, the A.F.L. are pretty much only waiting on West Coast Eagles.

Contrary to popular opinion, I see Geelong and Richmond falling down the ladder, its not going to be a surprise to me, but it will be to quite a few people, they have been up there for a very long time. Not going full rebuilds after seeing what we did and the pain we've suffered plus Tasmania coming into the comp in 2028.

Contrary to popular opinion, I see Geelong and Richmond falling down the ladder, its not going to be a surprise to me, but it will be to quite a few people, they have been up there for a very long time. Not going full rebuilds after seeing what we did and the pain we've suffered plus Tasmania coming into the comp in 2028.

Every team goes through their peaks and troughs. 15 years ago it was Collingwood, and of course we only have to go back nine years to when Richmond supporters were showering their players and coach as they left the field with spit and insults. North have known the bad times as well as the good. Our time has been a long time coming since our last Flag in 99 and a lot has happened at the club over the last 24 years.

The next North Melbourne team that win a Flag will be winning it under very different circumstances to the teams of 96 and 99. In those days the Premiership benefits were simply ploughed back into keeping the club afloat. The club is much better managed today and doesn't have the burden of debt, a crap training and administration facility and low memberships. When we win our next Flag it will finally allow the club to seriously capitalise on the benefits of winning a Premiership. These include the 10,000 spike in memberships, the millions of dollars spent by supporters on club merchandise, the capturing of young hearts and minds who will form the core of future members, and a re-focussing from other talented players across the AFL community toward North Melbourne as an aspirational club. Heavens we might even convince the government to fund the construction of a new grand stand and upgraded spectator amenities at Arden Street to enhance the VFL and AFLW experience.

Yes our time will come and I don't think that it is as far away in years as many might think.

Of course it will be. They didn't go down at all when we lost the games (in fact it went up) so of course the club will take this as another chance to get a dollar.

Do you know why that is? I get my membership sent to a Perth address. I choose the cap instead of the scarf. My friend is bald. The cap arrived in less than a week on 24 December.

Tell me your secret, I have asked a couple of times only to be told collect it at Arden St or wait for the Perth game

My membership pack sent to my old address, despite me updating my address over a year ago on the membership website. I got an SMS saying "successful delivery" but Australia Post don't redirect parcels like letters, and when I contacted the current residents of that address, they can't find the package.

Is there another website where I'm meant to change my address with the club? There's no one there that's answering the phones at this time of year.

I wouldn't expect to get 11 home games in Melbourne so it's a hypothetical without too much danger of becoming reality.

We need to be contenders to even get close to our ‘due’, and all the benefits it brings for club and fans.
