Wow. I'm not sure what to make of this - how incompetent can this club be? Firstly, to make such a rubbish decision that alienates their most rusted on supporters, and to then double down on that with BS excuses that appear to be flat out lies.

Personally, I am not as affected as most of you being only a general premiership club member, rather than reserved seat holder (we prefer getting to games early so the unreserved bays suit us). I really feel for those of you that have been in those seats for 20+ years - what a slap in the face. I'm still ropable though as instead of several aisles available on the wing, we now have access to maybe 1.5 (and not centre wing). I didn't even get an email re the changes - I wonder if they planned on advising me before they charged my credit card?

Club had better come out with a damn good explanation/resolution tomorrow. I won't be holding my breath ...

Completely unrelated, I am thinking of buying a new Mazda as a member of the club is there any advantages ?
I think it is a free year's membership and additional year on your warranty. At least it was in 2017 when I got mine.

Well my email to Jen Watt has been sent and I have asked in no uncertain terms who made the decision not to have aisles 35 to 39 available and if it was a North decision that my original aisle 35 seats get reinstated based on the lie the club has told us about why those aisles are not available.
What address did you send to? I want to make my voice heard too.

Just make sure it is a brand new car. If you buy a demo model, you are entiltled to nothing.

l have just spoken to the club and while they understand everyones situation, this is a directive from the AFL and affects all clubs who play their home games at Marvel...,l have had to accept aisle 30 row B compared to Aisle 38 Row D ....Seats are being filled fast...
hello neighbour, sounds like we’ve been sitting in the same row 😂
You on the left or the right of the poor shinboner with tourette’s?

Just received the email as well. Shattered. The whole point was to have L2 wing seats. Hate this news.

Surprise, Surprise - "this is a directive from the AFL". Does "Shut up and buy a membership" ring true.
Well except that it’s been found today that neither the AFL or Marvel have directed this. This will be reported in the media article. The club are the ones who have decided this and then have blatantly lied to us as to why our seats are no longer available.

I’m livid, but will play devils advocate:

We have reserved seats on L2, row D almost dead centre. We’ve been to every game and to be honest it’s rarely been more than 25% full. I always wondered why we had so many premiership bays and figured it was to provide viewing range for different tastes. It doesn’t sound very sustainable.

With that said, If they’re cutting bays to create density elsewhere I’m still very upset. More so if being lied to.

I’ve asked to move from current seats in the pocket that are constantly covered in bird shit. Was told all the seats on the wing were sold so can’t move…not happy Jan.

Can’t believe they screwed you guys on the wing. I thought the redevelopment meant a new premiership club room. The one we have at the moment is very underwhelming.

Rubbish, the same seats were always empty (except Easter and one other that doesn’t come to mind). They lied to you 😡

The email I received says they’ll be in touch.
I’ve just responded with “don’t bother”.

Does Euge still have his reserved seats with his sons on Centre Wing? :stern look

Yes.

He’s not far from where I sit. Edit sat.

He sat near me in aisle 39. That's apparently no longer available to members, so I would assume he has also been impacted.

Something stinks about this. Luckily for me I'm not effected (aisle 33) but that's bullshit. Im praying other clubs come out with similar but got a feeling this may be a cash grab from us.
Yes your ok atm but the people that are effected at this time will not put up been put in 💩 areas and 💩 seats.
So what that means your area and your seat could go to those supporters have lost there’s and if you get on here and say the club can’t do that as you say your seat is reserved well all those supporters who had reserved seat have no seats.
If the club can do that to those supporters they can do it to you as well .
