Apparently pies were keen on teakle reckon they probably were wanting him with their second pick

Both boys are 18 month contracts

Puts more pressure on the out of contract guys with less list spots
Good. With our recent cuts for the last few years we've had too many players kept on by default. At least this way there might be some real hunger.

1st handball to someones ankles
1st kick directly to oppo
repeatedly takes possession out of the ruck and gets caught
inside 50's all to oppo advantage

Should fit right in LOL
I've heard some companies reject recruits that they deem "overqualified" - does that apply here?

Welcome to North Geordie and Brynn....

Shocked Ubisoft GIF by Rabbids

He got spanked in the SA Vs WA game a few weeks ago.
I didn’t see the game but looking at the stats, 16 hit outs tells me he was well beaten in the ruck.

20 possessions and five marks suggests he did OK around the ground.

I can only presume they see enough potential for him to play predominantly forward as a mature body and relieve in the ruck.

I don’t see much point in having Teakle, Free and Goad running around in the VFL.

Be interested to see how Cooper Lord goes, as now he's gone. I'll say some internally rated him higher than a couple that have played this year. Won't name them cause your heads will fall off.

I get it that his type isn't a priority, but still.

Well, this would be a factor if we hadn't just drafted a mid sized forward and ruck...

Pfft.

Not great signs for Pink, Sellers and Maley if they think Teakle is a better candidate to take that role

I was surprised he got picked up.
Don’t see why anyone would rate him all that highly.

Other than a decent running capacity he doesn’t have any stand out traits that will make him an AFL footballer. Maybe as a tagger perhaps?

who do you think were stiff to miss out? reckon we could do worse than get Jez in the offseason!

Jez McLennan, Kobe Ryan, Milan Murdock and Noah Howes.

It’s McLennan’s leadership and composure that is something that is very appealing for me. Just think he had the right temperament to help a younger developing side like ours.

Pressure forward who wants to tackle and a (very) tall 2nd forward to support Larkey - exactly what we needed. Remember we actually had Pink as second ruck/forward at one point - hence the need to bring someone in.

Whether these 2 are AFL standard remains to be seen - but both should be in contention to play against the Eagles given where we are at.

Our record in the MSD is appalling for the repeated high end selections we have had - hopefully tonight ends that.

Also going by Brady we only had 4 on our draft board otherwise would have passed
