You just wonder why Christian puts himself through it. Clearly not much difference between this and Jones, both opponents get up and play the game out but different gradings.

Clearly we will appeal. Clearly our QC will relish the opportunity to show the discrepencies (bias) that Christian allows.

The question is whether the AFL will ever say "this is getting ridiculous we need to fix this".

Fancy trying to bust your gut with a chase down tackle from behind in a crunch must win high pressured fast paced game to get your team into a final…..

Should be run out of the game for showing that amount of desperation in “winning a crucial free kick” for your team in such circumstances…..

Have no problem with Jones getting off as there was no head contact with the ground but giving blokes a week in desperate circumstances like Owies who was actually awarded a free kick is beyond belief.

This rule is just about as ****ed as the insufficient intent rule and both need a massive overhaul!

at what point does a tackle become a suspension when the play is not concussed .. I get maybe if the player is concussed but the 2 above the same .. just because that goofy looking Higgins bloke exaggerated the beautiful tackle , is that the reason .. also the tackle was so bad he kicked the winner … one of the best parts of our game is being destroyed now
