I come in peace ….

This is where splitting 2 becomes a must. Tauru will get to 6. North don’t need mids. We’ve seen that a glut of mids drafted to Roos in the first round from 2017-2023 means nothing if you don’t have the KPP’s to compliment.

So if you retain #2 you probably take Tauru anyway. So may as well slide to #6, get Tauru and get a bonus pick in a deep draft. If by chance someone else takes Tauru prior to 6, then a gun midfielder slides to 6 anyway (Langford, Draper, Jagga etc…) and you have the extra pick for a tall in the 20’s.

So #6 & a pick from 18-24 for #2 is a no-brainer IF nothing better comes along. I’d try to get better, just not sure anyone else will come to the party.

If you trade #2 and a F1 for 6 & 11 then that’s not ideal for you, and would show Clarko is very impatient to get some wins and isn’t interested in yet another top-10 draftee in 2025 he has to wait on to develop. But Tauru and Armstrong/Shanahan at 6 & 11 would be very tempting to fill the holes you need to fill, even if you pay overs for the privilege.

Are you campaigners get dumber - what’s the hit rate for picks 6/18.

6 is pretty shiteous and 18 is getting to stab in the dark ( nttawwt) territory

Pick Draper and get a sliding tall using our f2 pick

There have been like a dozen North fans who have said 6/18 is the best we'll get for 2 and we should take it, but when a Tigers supporter suggests it it's outrageous?
These are the Tigers supporters who watched Brady at work in the CCJ trade. They know Brady will be brow beaten down where the result is substantially in their own favour. I am surprised so many of our supporters seem to think we will get fair value for pick 2 - nothing in Brady's body of work over many years now suggests that is even remotely likely.

Doesn't have much flexibility in his game and has 0 defensive intensity. It's midfield or bust for Jagga. At this stage of our rebuild we need mids that can rotate elsewhere. Also, he is just over 180cm, if we go a pure mid it would probably be better off it's a taller mid to suit our mix.

With all that being said you could easily justify taking him at pick 2. His cleanliness, evasiveness and balance are top tier traits to have at AFL level.
Roos_fanatic, soup, sphinx and talent scout what am I missing with Langford? Seems to have every attribute you could want and be a perfect compliment to our midfield. Big, great in the contest, great skills with hand and foot, penetratiing kick, great overhead, leader, hits the scoreboard, footy IQ. Only thing missing is speed. But Pendles, Bont, Dunkley etc also aren't speed demons.
Would love to somehow get 15 and 16 for out future 1st from Gws. Either keep 2 or get 6 and 11 from Richmond if we're sure Langford will be there. Move ccj and stepho to rookie list or payout. Take Langford, Armstrong/Tauru Berry/Dattoli, Shanahan/Trainor

What did we give up for Sheezel and Wardlaw? Whatever it was, seems fair! He ain't perfect but we're going ok

Yep they think this is a good deal for us… and expensive for them 😂😂😂😂😂.nuts
..we should walk away…do not even entrain this thought …..ever..

Be fair.

They had a captain mysteriously cleared for a grand final and a franchise created to gift them FAs and draft picks.

They probably figure the entire league exists to fondle and fan them.

The craziness that we have the two best assets in that scenario but we need to take the bath. Because again people (read Richmond media) have convinced themselves it’s a super draft instead of a consistent draft with no real standout.

Next year is a bit more compromised but your top 5 is always your top 5.

You’d think the Dees would come knocking if that deal is even close. He’s a pretty smart operator the Dees list bloke. He’d probably turn our F1 into something more fruitful.
5 and 9 for 2 and F1 trumps the tigers. Still think it’s not a great deal for us, but better.

I doubt the Demons would be willing to swap their picks as they are after a tall forward as well.

Yes it is. It's largely irrelevant in terms of trading for top picks, because teams pay a premium to get that pick or player (Dogs with Sanders and Crows with Curtin), but even on points 2 for 6 & 18 is a 55 pick gain to us.
Bombres paid pick 31 to move up one spot to get Caddy from 11 to 10.
So yeah, I don't think it's that ridiculous to suggest we'd want more than that for a team to move from 6 to 2.

Seriously, why the **** do they let some crap like this go to print. That trade is a joke or he is a Richmond or afl head office supporter

WILL TIGERS, ROOS DO A PICK SWAP?

Much intrigue remains over whether Richmond and North Melbourne will do a deal which could land the Tigers the first two picks in this year’s national draft.

It is believed that the Kangaroos are open to trading pick two and a future first-round selection to Richmond, in exchange for picks six and 11 in this year’s draft.

Such a deal would still leave the Tigers with seven early selections this year — at picks 1, 2, 10, 19, 20, 23 and 24 — along with two first-round picks next year.

It would also give North Melbourne access to a second high-end talent in this year’s bumper draft as the club looks to accelerate its rebuild.

The Kangaroos have said publicly that they would “entertain a slide” from pick two, with their focus not being on some of the high-end midfielders at the pointy end of this draft.

North Melbourne has been heavily linked to Gippsland Power utility Alix Tauru, who the Kangaroos could likely still snag at pick six.
Would need to be:

Roos in: 6,10,20,23
Roos out: 2, F1
