Obv ldu must be out the door then, because if we do shit the bed next year, with no potential pick in the first ten to grab the best available, then ldu must be out the door which means we'd be getting compensation. Ldu no matter how much he loves the boys at the club will be running an auction between hawks and saints, and maybe we just don't think he's worth what he's worth elsewhere. This would explain why we picked FOS. But still. That's crazy. That f1 shud have been worth grabbing both whitlocks, but we get one, and a pick most likely around 30 next year. Ldu must be gone. I read earlier today we were looking at pick 27 but it was for our future second rounder. Which would've been around the same pick next year most likely. This is a piss take

Yes we're hoping for a top 10 pick, if we snag a top 5-8 you've been destroyed, it's always the gamble though

Just remember that the 2024 draft wasn't overly compromised, but with Free Agency compensation, academy & FS picks the last pick in the 1st round still ended up being at 27. It's much more likely that Richmond's F2 in 2025 will be in the early 30s

Whitlock was ranked in a similar tier to Tauru and Travaglia all year, if not ahead. Look deeper than draft numbers and all of the players from 8 to 30 in this draft are pretty equal.

We rated Whitlock as a top 12 pick, this year.

Then, we are getting the first pick in the 2nd round. And we are getting Whitlocks a year early to develop.
