Sure - is he any worse than Dan Campbell though? He's far from perfect but we've already been to a SB and we've got a decent shot at another one.

That doesn't happen if you're an awful head coach.

But also, comparatively, Quinn has had an extended head coach run, has a career record barely above .500 and has the all time biggest superbowl choke on his resume.

Picking the best looking season on Quinn's resume and putting it up for comparison doesn't tell the full story.

Yes, so why does McLaurin get adjusted up against Brown on QB play?

Because Hurts isn't the only QB we've seen Brown play with. He was putting up 1000 yard seasons with Tannehill, just like McLaurin was putting up 1000 yard seasons with Heinicke.

As I said, I have AJ Brown ahead, but I think McLaurin is better than most give him credit for.

In my opinion, yes.

Dan Campbell is a top five head coach. I'd have Nick Sirianni somewhere in the bottom 12~.

Yes, so AJ put up good seasons with bad QB play, then elevated his game and put up elite seasons with bad QB play.

But we need to adjust Terry upwards because he had bad QB play, and put up a good (but not elite) season with good QB play.

Saying Terry is a better contest catch than AJ like it's a sure thing is a bit out there mate.

It's not just 'my' opinion though. It's a thing that many people say - Collinsworth for example went on about it last week, saying no receiver in the NFL is better at tough contested catches than McLaurin etc etc.

I think McLaurin is more comparable to Devonta Smith honestly.

Nah respectfully disagree, and this is what I mean when I say people under-rate McLaurin. He's much better than Smith.

No I'm saying AJ put up good stats with average QB play and Terry put up good stats with bad QB play.

And again, I still have AJ ahead of Terry.

I disrespectfully disagree. :tonguewink: I said I think id give a slight edge to McLaurin but I think people like you underrate Smith, he doesnt get anywhere near the volume McLaurin does coz hes on a far more stacked roster. He could have the seasons McLaurin has had as a clear #1 for sure.

Incredible opinion. Surely the whole point is to try and win a SB? Campbell might be an awesome regular season head coach but he's not done well when it matters.

Now he's going to have to try and do it with a new coaching staff (something Nick has had to do multiple times already).

Nick is easy to dislike and he makes us pull our hair out at times but there is just no way he's bottom 12.

Are the wins Nick, or Howie?

I mean, it's entirely conceivable that this is the best roster the Eagles will ever have, and we don't have a Lombardi out of it yet.

Looking at the stats between McLaurin and Smith and its basically a mirror apart from the 13 TD season that McLaurin has had this year with McLaurin getting 10-20 more targets a year. Yards, yards per reception, total catches, catch %, its all comparable.

God dammit Chad, now you've got me hoping Devonta goes off this week and is the difference, and here I was wanting McLaurin to play well in a Commies win.

Nick has a better roster than Dan.

Dan has done more with less.

(Also, Dan is significantly less annoying)

Nice redemption story after Smitty costing us the last game

They're both.

Can't win without either of them. Howie has done his job, it's now time for Nick to do his.

I'm not sure that's forced to be true.

I have no more of an understanding of schemes and game planning than College Football 25 gives a person, and I kind of think I could win the NFC East with this team.

Dan has done nothing.

I'm one of those 'if you ain't first, your last' kind of guys. No one remembers the teams that don't perform when it matters. Take a team like the 2018/19 Saints. They finished with a 13-3 record (matching the Rams of that year). No one remembers that Saints season or cares. Hell, the Saints did it again the next season (13-3) and still shit the bed. No one remembers them.

Campbell can beat his chest all he likes about how dominant they've been. At the end of the day, he's at home watching the NFC championship just like the Bears, Panthers etc.

Doesn't that count against Nick too?
