Doesn't that count against Nick too?
Yeah it does. Not quite as badly though, he's made a SB (won the NFC) and is a decent shot at making a second one.

I have no issue saying we've underachieved if we don't win it this year. Where the blame for that will lie will depend on how it doesn't happen (ie - is it Jalen severely underperforming? Not a whole lot Nick can do about that).

Interesting discussion about the future of Jayden Daniels and the Commanders over the next 15 or so seasons on a few of the US NFL shows I watch, with all of the other great QBs currently in the league playing in the AFC.

If JD stays healthy it is not unreasonable to think that Washington makes the playoffs almost every year while he is in the league, and the team has a Brady-esque type run in championship games and Superbowls.

What other teams in the NFC are good enough to stop them? From their own division - Philadelphia maybe, but Daniels has Hurts well and truly covered for talent so this may be the Eagles last chance to host Washington in the playoffs for a while. Dallas - not while Jerry Jones owns the team. The NY Giants - stick to watching the Mets and Yankees for a while yet.

The NFC West? Stafford is close to retirement so unless the Rams draft a generational QB in the next few drafts I can't see it. 49ers with Purdy and Shanahan - their window is closing fast and they need a rebuild soon. Can't see Kyler Murray getting much better, and Geno is a good journeyman but not a threat to the big boys.

The NFC South - not currently. Penix and the Falcons have the most upside. Baker and the Bucs are honest, and the Panthers and Saints are just making up the numbers.

The NFC North - Detroit had their chance and will be around the mark for a little while but without drafting a new QB they have reached their peak already. Green Bay? Jordan Love just seems a level or 2 below Daniels. Maybe Minnesota if JJ McCarthy turns out to be as good as Jimmy Harbaugh predicts.

Funnily enough the only hope may be Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears if Ben Johnson can work his magic - the potential is there but right now Caleb reminds me more of Ryan Leaf than Patrick Mahomes.

Seriously it’s way too early to be crowning daniels as a super star and talking about him owning the conference after only one season. Stroud looked like the real deal last season and same nfl shows you watched said the same thing and look how that turned out in year 2.

ClJohnsonWilliams/Bears will be a yearly contender too.

O'Connell/McCarthy could too...haven't seen what he can do yet

Canales/Young a rising duo.

Penix/Falcons.

Goff/Lions will remain

Purdy/Shanahan aint going away

Not satisfied with "can he win this week?", it's "how many NFC championships they'll win over the next 15 years?" 🫠

It's all media talking head garbage, but they probably said the same stuff about RGIII.

Injuries, egos, salary cap, o line capability, new qb cohorts every season, game planning - just a few factor at play

The sign of a real narcissistic campaigner. Not happy because they are doing better without him.

Makes me love their season even more

So when the sale was to be settled Snyder refused to give new owners banking details to make the payment.
Joe Gibbs and his wife talked him into it. What a grub of a man

Even more things like angry that the NFL levied a 60m fine into the sale price, making the 6b price less than 6b, (5.94 instead). Refusing to pay the fine for a time too.
