Al and Herbie are a weird duo sometimes.

I know Al loves pro football. He's called it forever, he basically replaced Moses in the booth. So I'm happy for him to occasionally show his exasperation with bad football or bad officiating, cos I know that it comes from a place of love, a similar place of love to many of us. Also, it's hilarious when he does it.

Herbie, on the other hand, openly prefers the college game. So when he's going over the top complaining about bad football, as he's done with Pittsburgh that half, it kind of sounds a bit more cynical to me. It's not funny or entertaining when he does it, it's kind of a turn off that makes you question why you're even watching.
