And thats why you pay him the big bucks...must have been a quiet night for JJ Watt on twitter not being able to tell everyone how good his brother is like some weird stalker fan like he usually does.

So who else today realised that Herbert doesn't have that "dog" in him, he's never gonna win a superbowl but he'll collect his $50 million dollar pay check every year till the end of his career because he's too 'good' to move away from. Also in the same division as Mahomes for the next decade.

Coaching won't do jack shit if you're QB has no desire to face adversity or doesn't care enough to lay everything on the line.

Today? It's been evident for years. But he'll collect his $52.5m per year.

What exactly do you mean by lay everything on the line? He kept standing in the pocket getting his bell rung all second half with a turnstile line in front of him. That is not laying it on the line? Fair to say he was rattled and made some bad throws but to question his toughness/willingness to lay everything on the line is laughable.

With how the Chargers OL played and the bad drops not many QBs could of won that game.

It was about as bad a OL performance in a playoff game in a while. Johnston with some bad drops (shocker) Disley with a drop on 2nd and 19 down that would of been close to a 1st down if not convert that would of set them up in the redzone early.

It would be a shock if the Chargers OL won more then 25% of the time today

The Chargers were an overachiever this season. Look the OL and WR rooms. They have top 5 cap space this season after cap hell and cutting WRs like Allen last year. But shouldn't overpay, Bosa is a likely cut/trade

Wilson had more yards, more YPA, same TD/INT (2/0) as Jackson.
Didn’t have Henry with a heap of rushing yards, and his defence didn’t help much.

MVP anyone? :moustache:
When was the last time the second team all pro QB won the MVP? Its all over mate, but I admire you going down swinging.

Also don't take it as it was all the Chargers OL being bad. The Texans pass rush was on fire and the DBs played tight and at times ran the routes for thr WRs.

Texans D play like that again and they will give Mahomes a nightmare, and given the KC offensive struggle this season Texans can win

Cant see how the Texans lose tbh.

Not with how they played today. That pass rush will draw holds even the zebras can't ignore.

But the Texans O needs to start better.

Texans were so lucky to be in the game. The Chargers barely let them have the ball and could only muster 6 points. It took the a busted play with 2 mins to go before half time to get going on offence, and after that they were great in all 3 phases.

Can they keep it up? Well they lost to both the Chiefs and Texans over the Xmas period so will have to reverse that form. They can't hope to be kept in games with such a slow start and all the remaining AFC teams are outdoors and damn cold. So if they're to progress from here it would be a huge achievement

Chargering strikes again. Can't really see it changing anytime soon. They're going to be a wildcard team (unless they change the seeding) so are going to have to do things on the road.

Wild that some teams struggle to breakthrough in the playoffs, yet others just rack the wins up. Steelers have been famously mediocre recently, Dallas have come in highly ranked and has early exits, Bengals under Andy Dalton just wilted.

The Steelers seem to be terrified that Tomlin will go somewhere else and immediately be successful there, which would reflect badly upon them.
The speculation talk of trading coaches is pretty wishful thinking. Unless you've got your successor lined up, a team is unlikely to do it.

So unless the back office have been keeping a secret, or there's a huge fallout, unlikely to see a team agreeing to move on unless they're ready to

We can win against the Chiefs, but we pretty much need no mistakes or key injuries all game. It would require quite a turn around on regular season form. Anything close and watch the big ref calls go their way. We were doing well up to the disallowed TD and then the Tank Dell injury on our last meeting.

We’ve been the Ravens’ bunnies for the past two seasons, so that’s probably our toughest matchup.

Interesting enough, I read this morning that CJ is the first Texan QB ever to win multiple playoff games.

Hard to argue hes not overrated when you see a game like today but I still feel hes very good and just like Stafford with Detroit hasn't been helped by his surroundings. What I do love about him is how hes takes every bit of blame when things go bad and gives all the credit to guys who dont deserve it whenever he plays out of his skin, so ****ing humble, hes pretty much exactly what my ideal QB is in every way apart from the playoff wins. For me hes the easiest QB in the league to cheer for and maybe thats why I want to believe he'll get there eventually. :rainbow:
Yeah I don't hate the guy, seems decent enough, I just feel like he's the media's lovechild even though he has never really achieved much or put together a stellar season. Yet to make a divisional round game let alone a championship game. He does seem to have the attributes but many have, just having the physique and the arm doesn't make a great QB, you need to have the smarts and instinct. I will grant he hasn't had the best teams or coaches to work with but he had a great start against the Texans and failed in the redzone (feels like a common occurrence with the Chargers, Dicker having a few games this year with big fantasy weeks for a kicker). Should've been up at least 10 (if not 14) to nothing.

I hope to be proven wrong as it would be great to see him have a breakout season next year with a deep playoff run but it just doesn't feel like it's going to happen.
