If only the coach could've challenged that...

I remarked at the time it was a bad look for the NFL, replaying the hit whilst reviewing the fumble/recovery part of the play.

But I don't think Nixon contributed any less than the Eagles player in lowering helmets and causing the contact.

Didn't the league specifically say a few years ago they would crack down on ball carriers lowering the crown of their helmet?

Early observation

Minnesota traveled well

Even the worst version of me might struggle to fly interstate to attend a football game whilst the homestead was burning.

I don’t have to worry about playoffs with Depodesta in charge

Feel bad for the kid because so many just took an opportunity to shit on him or called him a nervous wreck and didn't even care to ask if it was superstition or OCD. Which sucks because a few weeks ago on the SNF game vs the Falcons they talked about how he has a tradition of doing it before a kick

Technical sure. But it's never called. The Eagles guy will cop a fine but you were never getting that call.

it was dumb to return anyway and you kept doing it all game

I thought he was a very good kicker with us in 2021. Tore his quad or groin in warmups before a preseason game (IIRC) in 2022 when locked in as the Panthers kicker for that year and went on season ending IR never to be seen again til now. Think he might have lost a fair bit of distance in his kicking since then.

edit: Yeah I was right thinking he was good, had very decent stats with us.

Sam Darnold has the most to gain / lose tonight. Could be worth 10's of millions of dollars on his next contract depending on how he plays.
Plays like lastweek again and he goes from mid $50s to low $40s or teams drop out and no more bidding war
