Mavs chose Marshall over Jones Jnr and in all honesty dont blame them. Marshall likely a better fit.

I doubt Porter starts for them but yeah it is rough, they went all in on trading for Harden. At that moment they had no choice but to re-sign PG. They might genuinely have the bleakest future in the NBA at the moment.
