Crema is not an indication of quality, more or less Crema is dependant on longer / shorter roast times and how much c02 gets trapped in there. Longer the roast = more CO2 = more Crema. But new wave coffee joints don't like burning the coffee so therefore you're gonna get more flavour but less Crema

I'm no expert but when the coffee is fresher it has better crema also adjusting the grind and pressure help.

I thought we got rid of the spuds. Who's the potato on the bottom at the far right?

. Brave decision from Bassat and at a high cost to his credibility if it hadn't gone well.
Yes and no. It became too clear to ignore that Ratts wasn't up to it, and in RTB there was a level of certainty over the outcome, though the extent is never guaranteed.
Bassat is a pragmatist, and he took the clearly better option without making it personal.

Windhager’s best games have been as a run with player, which he’s done very well, keeping the opposition’s best mids quiet.
He’s also got a fair bit of the footy himself!!
Windy is learning how to defend space and players in the contest as well as letting his opponent lead him to the ball.

When it clicks for him he will be a gun

It was an incredibly difficult decision to sack Ratten but Andrew knew it had to be done…it was brave in as much as he knew there’d be media backlash & angst amongst some supporters.

Yeah had starbucks once at universal studios in LA. Never again .
Found it a viable option in NYC when faced with that Godawful bottomless drip filter diner coffee with milk powder

Theres a small chain called Bluestone Lane that I saw in NYC and DC, started by ex-Saint Nick Stone, but the lines were always massive when I was there. Maybe too much Poindexter with the chemistry set?

It was clear that Richo wasn't up to it too. Ratts was going okay and had an injury excuse. We could easily have stayed on that path and it would have been easy to get away with. Bassat put his balls on the table and wore the fall out. Even picking Ross was brave, he came with baggage both as an ex employee and as a guy who left Freo in controversial circumstances.

In a way I reckon Rath and Lethlean made us need to make a drastic call. Their arse about rebuild made a sharp U turn necessary.

Hill I can maybe understand but if Brad Crouch is forced into being one of the last picked in our side by the end of 2024 we’re way ahead of schedule on the success scale. Still too vital a cog for us and the development of the younguns right now

That’s the point.

If we are having an excellent season - which would be a top 4 spot. Then you would think we are pushing Hill and Crouch to the brink of selection.

Because its the midfield area of the ground that is going to need significant individual improvement.

I suppose if you look at it that way, but l get the impression Bassat probably sees through that stuff.

There wa

There was a bloke called Robert Harvey who used to run himself into the ground, obsessive compulsive with his training.
Wilson reminds me a bit of this atm that's all. I'm sure the club has it in hand.
To be fair that didn't work out all that badly.
383 games across 21 seasons. Some of them quite good as well.

Ratts had an injury excuse and missed finals.

Ross had an injury excuse and made finals - with arguably a substantially worse injury list.

Ratts wanted a few more experienced bodies in to solidify his job.

Ross made the hard calls to let Gresham and billing go to continue his youth approach

Ratts went away from his high skill focus of 2020 that delivered a finals appearance

Ross stuck to his defence first etho and delivered another #1 rated defensive side

We made the right call. We upgraded. We improved. We look a better club

Gringo surely you’re a fan hombre?
Pretty bad but not the worst.
The defunct Jewel Food Barn used to have a home brand that was just ground up burnt cardboard. They had a branch in Moonee Ponds late seventies to about 1980, cheap food but you still paid for it with your taste buds.
Branded as "no name"
