Overall I think it's a pretty fair and balanced analysis from Kingy to be honest.

You could (and probably still can?) say the same thing about CJ, especially in his earlier seasons, where he would dash and not really know what to do next. Sometimes get caught or end up having to go backwards, nullifying the line-breaking run. No doubt it's something you improve on as you get more experience but Weddle did get lost on a few of his runs last season. He will only get better though! If BMac's kicking improves and he gets into our 22 our running power is going to be ******* absurd

Agreed. Of we can crack this tactic…look out. If they bothe keep doing it…twice as bad

Seems to me we need Blanck DGB frost to come up with the goods in defence - the area everyone says we are lacking - then theres just maintaining consistency to crack

King putting raps on B. Mac, while one of the track reports above said B. Mac was looking not quite up to it today.

Maybe Kingy is mixing up B. Mac with B.Ryan - both newish players and both look alike on the footy field.
Baz had some good moments at half back and was even on a wing at one point in time. Bodie Ryan tackled Gunners on the far side of the ground and wouldn't let him get free. Both will be good for us over the years

Probably fair criticism for Weddle. I likened him to a Golden Retriever last year. His decision making chain is get the ball and run but can run himself into trouble. The good thing from what I've seen so far is he's such a power athlete that he has the tools to get himself out of trouble.

CJ did it a fair bit when he was first coming on as well. Was starting to make better decisions before his body started to break down.

Really? I always thought of Weddle as more of a Kelpie Badger.

eldorado

According to Ch 9, CJ hurt his hand at training & came off the track early. Any insights?
He spoiled a contest, I thought maybe hurt his wrist or shoulder. Was having chat to tent-people but was still a little bit involved in the next play or two so it couldn't have been as serious as say, a rolled ankle.

A more coherent and loquacious track watcher might've taken some notes, I dunno.

With Hardwick going forward it certainly leaves a gap but Amon moving in there too.

In my mind Massimo, Seamus and Bailey McDonald are fighting for the same spot. Ryan probably behind scrimshaw as a medium. But seems an ideal match up for those big mids that push forward like Bont, Reid.
